Staples tends to have all of the items and services we require, and it tends to be fairly easy to track down the items we’re hunting for. The stores are typically laid out consistently from store to store, lessening the need to interact with floor staff.
However, our most recent visit left us needing to ask the staff for direction, and they seemed more interested in passing us along to other staff members on loop, rather than helping us find particular items. Ultimately, they suggested that we order online rather than buy anything in the store. The impression left us feeling that the staff didn’t actually know the layout of the shop, and we wound up frustrated enough to shop elsewhere.
At a time when big box stores seem to be closing all around us, it would seem that those remaining would be wanting to up their customer service game.
We may indeed wind up shopping online, but it likely won’t be from Staples.

I like Staples. It kind of flies under the radar with Future Shop and Best Buy being the first couple of electronics-type stores to come to mind. But it does have great selection and reasonable prices overall. Plus office furniture and a copy centre.
We visited this location to find two things. Staff approached us to help twice, which was nice. They helped us find what we were looking for and at the cash they helped us roll up our shiny new chair mat. :-D
Strolling the aisles of colourful markers, pens, bristol board, binders, etc takes me back to the simpler days of my high school and university years. Back when Bayers Lake was an industrial park with one Price Club in it and most of Staples’ big-box competition was in larger cities only. Now of course things have changed significantly, but I’m glad Staples is still around.

Staples tends to be Staples. This is a moderate sized one with a good selection of anything you’d basically need for a home or business office. The staff is fairly good, friendly and knowledgeable. You can also get great prices when stuff is on sale.

Pretty typical for a Staples. Large spacious store, wide isles, supportive staff, nice office furniture section.
They are very well stocked and have everything for your personal and business stationary needs. I’ve never left without finding what I was looking for or something similar.
The copy center is small, my advise is to visit their sister store in Burnside a 5 min drive away. They have a newly renovated copy center that’s huge and can handle pretty much any volume you can throw at them.

Staples Business Centre’s are popping up all over. Located all through the HRM this is the newest one. Large location in the crossing this is perfect as this is a business park.
Running to Staples to pick up a few thing for both work and personal I find that normally they have things in stock. Looking for a day timer that would be compact enough to fit into my purse but had a layout that suited my needs I did manage to locate on for 15.99 perfect fit.. Large selection with a great organization to all products easy to find pricing which is good. Prices are great some are very expensive for certain things but there is so much variety you can chose.
Staples as well has a section for electronics from computers to phones to faxes anything that you would need for an office and even furniture in which I did purchase my computer chair there when it first opened at the grand opening specials.
