I love this little community café. For one thing, they know how to make a proper macchiatto. They have a few tasty food items, including curry. It is situated really close to DRDC Atlantic Research Centre, where I worked for 31 years, so it’s a great spot to meet up with my friends who still work there. It’s pretty small, though!

Awesome cozy little spot, friendly staff, great coffee and treats. A true hidden gem in Dartmouth that everyone should be talking about.
Fresh made sandwiches at reasonable prices for lunch as well.

A delightful little café serving kick-ass lattes. Friendly and helpful staff, a superb ambiance and yummy baked goods. More neighbourhoods need a place like this. Just. Go.

I’ve been to a few Indian restaurants in HRM and wasn’t terribly impressed. Darkside’s chef, on the other hand, makes absolutely delightful curry. Have had both vegetarian and chicken, both excellent, and the rice is the best I’ve had. What exactly is available rotates day to day, though, and the menu doesn’t reflect this.
They also do a delightful chain latte, and their samosas are big, well-stuffed, and well-spiced. Add in the rotating artwork, and it’s a fine place to warm up on a cold day. No WiFi, though, which along with the sometimes unclear menu keeps me from giving a perfect score.

What a gem!!! Beautiful, cozy, warm little spot with killer atmosphere! Best chai latte I ever had! Reasonable prices! Definitely a place to meet up with a couple friends to relax and talk or hangout by yourself on a cold day to warm up! I’ll never go to Timmys again to meet friends! Artwork on the walls is always changing because it’s all for sale! Extremely friendly staff! I will definitely be back soon!

First visit this morning. Beautiful staff very friendly, had the chicken samosa & tea. The food was delicious can’t wait for my next visit to try sri lankan tea !!!

I have dropped in a few times now for coffee and a treat and all has gone well. The staff are friendly and the lattes and baked goods are yummy. The first time I was in I had just a regular dark roast and found the coffee very watery not sure if this was a fluke or norm will have to make a point to try it again. Really nice to have a coffee shop so close to home :)
