Unfortuneately i had to give this place a star even though i did not want to… i would prefer to rate it no star… i recently had to make a quick run inside to buy a mat for my garage… i did not expect to do any shopping so i had my little Chihuahua with me… rather than leave her in the car in the cold i put her in the cart and went inside… i made it past the door greeter without any problem… but was stopped before i passed the registers and told i would have to leave… its not like i was taking my «pitbull» in the store… its a very small chihuahua which has NO behaviour issues what so ever and was secured in a shoppibg cart… but i guess if thats the way Home Depot does business… i will not be giving them anymore business. afterall screaming misbehaved children are welcome. but i guess thats ok… you lost a customer Home Depot!!! If you care or not…

One star for customer service today. Some chick in hardware spoke to me like I was an idiot when I asked for one of the portable bater boxes with jumper cables and a tire inflator.

for $ 130, but I know of no product number or what it was actually called. I just wanted to see what they have but she didn’t know anything and kept getting irritated and sighing every time I said I didn’t know what the thing was called.
What a stupid rude b! t€h. Don’t treat people like that.

The staff was super helpful. If only they were not invisible, I could probably find the stuff I needed today.

I’m kind of torn between a 2 and a 3 star. Being in a constant state of renovating something in our house we spend a great deal of time and money at this store. They have a wide variety of stock which makes it easy to get everything we need for any given project.
Generally, staff are good at helping you find the right product or tool for the job. Usually we have no problem in finding someone to answer our questions or point us in the right direction. We bought everything from large appliances to flooring, tools, gardening supplies to home décor items.
We have run into the occasional issue, with delivery etc. but they have always come through with resolution to our satisfaction.
Our last visit is the reason for my quandry on star rating. We went in looking to purchase everything for a complete bathroom reno. We spent well over an hour on our own picking out the tub, toilet, vanity, fixtures & fittings, drywall, wall & floor tiles. There was one staff member who helped us select the correct grout & tile cement for our needs then excused himself to do something else, saying he’d be back.
We finished picking out everything, ready to create an order and the guy had not returned. I stayed in the aisle while B went searching for him or anyone who could help us place the order. It was a minimum 15 minutes before B returned with someone else to create the order. Apparently the first guy had gone to supper. If we hadn’t spent an hour and a half picking everything out, I would have left but we had so much time invested already. It just seemed wrong that we had to waste so much time to find someone to spend $ 1000+ in their store.

Although it can sometimes be hard to find a living, breathing person to help you in here, I had a successful visit to this location on a Monday afternoon. I wouldn’t try this on a Saturday…
I had to get some baseboards cut and bought and I had a really nice guy help me out. He was pleasant and got the job done fairly quickly. I was slightly underwhelmed by the friendliness of the lady who rang me through, I don’t think she cracked a smile, but overall, the experience was good. I got what I needed and was completely satisfied. Would definitely go back for my next home improvement.

If I’m in any home hardware type store, it’s safe to assume that my day is just not going very well. I’m likely attempting to solve a problem I can’t fix with tools that I don’t understand, thus leading to a Home Depot adventure.
While the other big boxers tend to infuriate me with apathetic staff who don’t know anything and don’t care, I do find this Home Depot a notch or two above the rest. The staff are generally quite helpful and pleasant, they’re just really hard to find and in very high demand.
So, pro tip: if you’re on the hunt for a salesperson only to wait in line behind two or three other folks, your quick trip is going to take a heck of a lot longer. Brace yourself for such situations.

I own a house!
That means I shop at home hardware places!
Home Depot is a pretty damn good one. That is if they stock the items!
They have what i am looking for most of the time, whether it is electronics, lumber, hardware etc.
I like that they dry store their lumber indoors! (although most of the big chains do now)
The staff are very helpful, and very knowledgeable, with their department.
Which is fine, I like specialized staff, usually means they know what they are talking about.
This store in particular, is huge, I have never had a problem with finding what i need.
Now if they don’t stock something, they are a pain in the ass to order in from.
Losing orders, not calling when something can’t be gotten, not calling when the piece has arrived.
I will continue to shop here for my household building needs, but i won’t be ordering things in!
Keep on renovating, I will!

Let me start off by saying that this would have been a 3 if it wasnt for another customer helping me out, because no one else seemed to want to!
I often go here for crafting tools (never know when you need a power tool) and sometimes have no idea what I really need for the job. Thankfully there is always a very friendly customer in the area wanting to lend a helping hand!
Home Depot has all that you need to fix, tidy, renovate your home. Its the place to go!

I need to fix a mountain bike. Don’t ask how? I am really not even sure it will work. I decided to start with a plastic pipe. I did not need a big peice and the store sells big peices for plumbing etc. I found a nice size scrap peice and asked the sales guy if I could buy it. He sold it to me for 1 buck. I thought this was nice sombody else might say hay it is scrap why did he not just give it to you? Well my other option is buy a new bike and thats the problem becuase I just bought this bike at the bike auction last Saterday so I am not really yet to get rid of it.

I used to buy my paints at Kent, until they changed ther brand line, and I found the coverage to be tarable. I started buying all my paints here and was verry satisfied, untill this may long weekend. A year ago I was going to stain my deck, they told me what was best but I shouldn’t stain new presser treated for one year, thats fine I made the purchase and kept the product at home. This long weekend I thought I’d tackle the now graying deck, and needed just ONE more can. So on returning for another they tell me teir «best“stain was discontinued due to environmental resons, but had a matching replacement,“of now lesser quality» same brand and Culler, well it covered like water, the wood soaked it up and you could see right threw it. Terrible!!! It didn’t cover anything! It would take 3cans at $ 40 to make 1of the old cans. I was verry up set! So I went back to complain and the home depot said they can’t do anythig for me, I would have to call cil or buy the new replacment for more money. I said wait!!, you said yesterday that this was the replacement! Thay said no thats not right, and still refuesed to fix the problem that they now are absolutely in part to blame! I’m not happy at all!!!

I’m a new home owner and with that comes lots of new responsibilities… and purchases. What’s that, you mean the lawn doesn’t cut itself? Oh, there isn’t some magical person that will come in and replace a broken toilet handle for free with one phone call? Oh. Well, I guess it’s time for Home Depot!
This is my typical standby store, particularly this location. It’s a chain hardware store, but that doesn’t have to be a negative draw. It’s big so it’s bound to have what you need, and a decent selection of it, too (so now you can get the shop vac that suits your personal style!). They have some competitive prices and often have great sales. If you visited my house, I could show you that there’s at least one item in each room that was purchased at Home Depot.
But what sets aside this store from other box stores that I’ve visited is its staff. We’ve been to Home Depot quite a bit in the last few months, and some of the staff have learned to recognize us. It’s surprising, and very pleasant, when the cashier asks you if the bathroom fixtures you bought last time you were there a month ago go well with your new paint job (yes, this actually happened).

Typical big box store. I prefer home depot over Canadian Tire for one simple reason. Staff. They have them, and they SPEAK to you!
Alas my trip was unsuccessful, I’m not sure why a huge hardware store only carries 2 brands of light bulbs, and mostly just Phillips. Seems a little restricting to me. Their compact fluorescents don’t even fit a lot of the commercial fixtures out there.
The décor is the same as any other Home depot, consistency is the name of the game here.
