Winners

Oh Winners.
You are my very, very favourite shop. This is by far the best location for finding clothing. I find that it isn’t picked over which leaves you with a fabulous selection.
It is quite possible that the employees know me by name. Or at least know me as ‘that lady who comes to our store every day and buys too many things while Unilocaling out loud over exciting discoveries“
This store does not have the furniture selection that the larger ones tend to have. But what it lacks in housewares it makes up in purses, sunglasses, shoes and tons and tons of clothing.
C often finds great pairs of jeans and other good men’s clothing there. They always have a clean, organized men’s section.
This Winners also has clean dressing rooms unlike the Mic Mac Mall location which is sketchy at best.

Of all the Winners locations, this seems to be the one where I have the most luck finding clothes. Which is pretty perfect since I already have Mic Mac for home stuff, Mumford for shoes, and Bedford for desperate times.
The men’s section is better maintained here than any other location and is usually jam-​packed with better brands than you’ll see elsewhere. And I don’t mean Tommy Hillfiger and Perry Ellis — I’m talking recognizables with some street cred like Penguin, mixed up with vintage-​esque Sesame Street tees.
Downsides? Well, somewhere along the way they scrapped the men’s shoes section. And as always, it’s important to give everything a solid once-​over before buying. Sometimes you won’t notice a loose thread or pick in the fabric.

I haven’t purchased clothes anywhere else since 2002.
For that matter, I suppose kitchen appliances, bathroom linens, shoes, or books anywhere else either.
I think that says it all.
P. S. Dear Winners: I know you think I haven’t noticed that prices seem to be creeping up lately… well I have. And I don’t like it. If you’re not careful you may see me at the mall on Saturdays.
But thanks for all the Steve Maddens you’ve given me over the years.

Often finding myself browsing through Winners and coming out empty handed lately. The Dartmouth location especially I don’t know what it is. I find that this season shoe selection is terrible and not enough variety to it.
As well tyring to find some new summer tops in my size and shape is almost impossible as the sizes are not there. Now if you are a small framed person then sure go but anything else is challenging.
One thing that I can say about Winners is that I do like the fact that more products meaning hair, bath and beauty are coming into the store and at good prices. Just waiting for the full line of Big Sexy Hair to come in.
