Good food and over-​the-​top great service.
We booked a dinner reservation for 30 at Mario’s the first night of our family reunion, but between Seattle-​area traffic and border wait-​times, there were only about 15 of us that could make the reservation, and half our group was under the age of 6. Also, we were nearly-​all vegetarians.
We were, in short, a restaurant’s nightmare.
Still, Mario’s waitstaff was over the top. When another 5 members of our group showed up halfway through the meal, they squeezed them in with a smile. Either Mario’s hires the most convincing actors I’ve ever met, or the waitstaff was genuinely happy to help us despite the chaos.
In addition to my baked tortellini (excellent), I managed to sample about 4-​other dishes from other people in our group, and they were all excellent. When we got the bill, I was surprised at how low it was.
Whether it’s with another big group or for a more intimate dinner, I’ll be back at Mario’s any chance I get.

This is one of my family’s favs in town. The menu has something for all of us, and the wine menu keeps mom happy. Darren and Liz have really transformed the restaurant back into a great place to go for every meal. Good easy fun atmosphere ! Always know what we can count on.

We tried the oyster burger and it is delicious!!! We couldn’t find such a burger in other places.
Their beer sampler (4×4 ozs) is only $ 6. Very good restaurant with reasonable price.

The staff are one-​of-​a-​kind friendly, and they go the extra mile to make you comfortable and happy.
The food is great. The best dish in my opinion is their gluten free pizza, it’s a smaller pizza just for one. Big enough to fill you up with a slice left over. The food here is surprisingly good, similar to what you’d get at a restaurant in Vancouver
Overall, this place is great for all ages, and the service is outstanding. I’ve been here several times and it’s always the same

Being new to the area I had no idea where I was ordering from and just chose Marios Kitchen at random. I’ve ordered about a dozen times since then and it is some of the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Every time I eat it I ponder how I could have settled for the slop on greasy bread that comes from the chain pizza shops for so long.
Even after ordering from them for some time I still assumed it was some little small town, 3 formica tables with plastic tablecloths kind of place. When I finally stopped in to pick up an order on my way home one evening I was blown away to discover that it’s a really lovely little restaurant, extremely warm and inviting with crisp white linen tablecloths and candle light. And guess what… they serve more than just amazing pizza.
This place really is an oasis in a town desperately in need of one. You could plop Marios Kitchen down in Kits, Coal Harbor, Yaletown, etc. and it wouldn’t be out of place at all.

Ate here this evening and had an excellent meal! Travel as a celiac can mean trouble with gluten free… Mario’s Kitchen has a well labeled menu, indicating many gluten free options. They even have a gluten free beer listed. We shared the crab/​cream cheese stuffed mushroom caps — very tasty! I had a gluten free deluxe pizza — a nice, crispy, thin crust with the right amount of toppings. My boyfriend had a regular crust pizza and said it was nice. Dessert was a shareable slice of cheesecake on a gluten free crust with homemade whip cream — YUM! We arrived at the right time to be seated immediately, (about 6:30pm) as the restaurant got busier just after we ordered.

Some of the dishes are pretty tasty, however I don’t think the garlic bread can actually be classified as food. Garlic cooking spray on possibly fake bread? Makes one a bit worried about quality of what is being served?

Nice service, nicely decorated, ok pizza. I don’t particularly care for this style, nor to I seek it out on purpose. Where I live, this style of pizza is pretty popular, doughy crust with tons of toppings. This is probably my least favorite style of pizza, above chain restaurant pizza. But I respect that many people do like that kind of pizza and that this place does that kind of pizza well. So if you are looking for more toppings than everything else, this would be your place.

This place makes a solid gluten free burger. With a tastey actual, honest-​to-​goodness bun. I think the rest of the food seems good too, I’m just so burger-​focused when I go. Certainly a lot of choice in gluten free land.
Also the staff are all, without fail super friendly and professional. Feels like a pricier place than it actually is. Linen napkins and mood lighting too. Impressive!

Took the day off and came over to the Mainland for a change. After the ferry ride and lineup of cars, we decided to stopover in TSWASSEN for lunch. Found Mario’s by packed parking lot. Promptly seated by good staff and ordered. I had the Cajun chicken spinach salad,…awesome! Flavourful from top to bottom. Good price and portion. My wife had French onion soup and she found it very good, I agree as I had managed to snag a spoonful!
Nice clean place, great service and food.

Mario’s is a great place to go when you really don’t want to make supper. The best pizza on the menu has ground beef, tomatoes, etc and then lettuce and more cheese over the toppings. It’s seriously delicious comfort food if you like pizza.
I also find their Frank’s chicken sandwich really tasty, but I usually ask them to make it with extra mayo so that the spice is mellowed a bit. It makes the sandwich a wonderful, saucy mess.
The artichoke dip is always a hit, as are the stuffed mushrooms.

Great things seem to be happening at Mario’s and it isn’t just some new paint on the walls. Because of issues I was having, I decided to cut gluten from my diet and I’ve been at a stand still trying to figure out what I might be able to eat. I heard through the grapevine that Mario’s is now serving up GF options, so I headed over to take a look.
Not only do they offer them, they’re highlighted by GF icons! How perfect. They currently offer up one GF pasta, varieties of chicken, salmon dishes and their pizza can be made with GF dough. If I were able to eat dairy I would be all over that pizza.
I can’t wait to see what else comes from this local, ever changing restaurant.
