When they announced a sev coming to the corner of 104street and jasper ave, I was pro 7 – 11! I was happy to have a convenient store right by my work. But now, after at least a year of sev being in this location, I can completely understand why people didn’t want it. I’ve been there at lunch time and the staff are more concerned about watching a thief stealing $ 5 worth of candy, then serving the lineup of 20 customers. I get it, but lets keep the line moving. But my major bone of contention is the sidewalk outside. It is disgusting, especially on Monday after the weekend. I don’t know if there was a change in management recently, but I used to see a guy out there cleaning the sidewalk all the time with a hose and scrubbing it. I don’t see this anymore, and it’s really starting to show. This 7 – 11 needs to step up and take better care of the outside. Clean the walls and the sidewalk frequently. Respect our downtown. I hate seeing this corner deteriorating. I don’t care that there are homeless people outside the store… I really don’t care. They don’t bother me one bit. It’s really just the cleanliness and how it’s gone seriously downhill. Hold up! I just realized they raised the price of chocolate bars… $ 1.69!!! For a chocolate bar. Get outta here sev!

This place is nice and ckean with lots of variety. But i go there for the hot dogs. They sit there on the grill, turning over, and over. I have them with a roll, but they have corn dogs and maybe other coverings too. They are great, making this the best hot dog place in edmonton. Edmonton is not a great restaurant city but this place is world class. I sometimesgo withthe intention of getting a sandwich but the hot dogs always win out.

Seriously, why is there a lack of convenience stores in downtown Edmonton? Sometimes it’s hard to get a snack while you are in the area so when I heard 7-Eleven was opening up a store at the corner of 104 Street and Jasper Avenue last year, I was immediately ecstatic. This location is quite large and well laid out than other locations I have been to. The walls and shelves are stuffed with candy, chips and even some baking ingredients on the go. What I really liked was the large selection of Slurpee flavours. There’s about twelve to choose from so it can take a while to decide what you want in your cup. The staff and cashiers are particular nice and that the store is directly linked to the Bay LRT station(makes for a great pit stop if you’re traveling back home on the train) so thumbs up to this 7-Eleven!

I’m a frequent patron of 7 – 11 between the hours of 2 and 4am. There’s just something about 2 hot dogs for $ 3 that make this the ideal stop on the walk home from the bar on weekends. You can even choose your own toppings: from that suspicious plastic-looking cheese, to what may or may not be chilli, to sauerkraut from a jar, they have it all. If I’m in the mood for jalapeños, you know what, I just do it, I don’t ask questions. Thanks 7 – 11 for serving up an alternative to donairs and pizza, I like you.
