Amean Pizza Donair & Sub

HUGH donair! Cheese donair is probably exactly what you are craving. So much meat. Spicy and good sweet sauce.

Best donairs in town. Super casual classic Donair shop. Staff are friendly and low profile. Get the sweet sauce and garlic sauce mixed together!!!

In my newly found desire to slowly make my way through Edmonton’s donair shops… today I found myself accross the street from Amean.
Perhaps due to my love of Simon King, it just felt natural to order a King Spicy (despite the fact that of course… this is not Simon King…).
Pretty good. Tastes to me like it is laced with Franks Red Hot or something similar.
Didn’t actually enjoy this flavor mix with the sweet sauce. Decent value at ~$ 10 for the donair and a bottle of Kirkland water…
If the opportunity presents itself again, I believe I will try the Amean Burger. Looks awefully good!
Until then, I don’t plan to make any trips especially for these folks.

Customer service is the absolute worst. Ordered a pizza during lunch time & simply asked for a few extra toppings. The cashier didn’t take the order properly (second time this has happened). Owner got VERY furious with the cashier & us. The owner decided it was okay to come up to our table in front of everyone in the restaurant and tell us not to order pizza at lunch time. I’m sorry if I wasn’t mistaken this place was for «PIZZA & DONAIR» this was completely rude, made us felt unwelcomed & his negative/​angry vibes was felt clearly. If you own a pizza shop clearly people are going to ask for specific toppings. If your going to tell a customer who paid for everything they asked for to not order this item off the menu then maybe the pizza should be taken off the menu completely. Never going to this place again & wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there unless they wanted to be disrespected and talked down too.
& «owner» if your reading this I’m sure you’ll remember us. You are ignorant and disrespectful. Your shop won’t go anywhere with the attitude you have towards customers who are literally keeping your place afloat. Take pizza off the damn menu since you clearly cannot maintain it. «Don’t order at lunch» doesn’t justify it.

Ok done the pizza twice now and love it. Its packed with toppings… crust and sauce are both very well done. Pizza holds up great for second day lunch if there is any left overs.
This is now my favorite pizza in edmonton although i usually go for a donair because they are just a tad higher on the yummy list for me the past few months

You’d think donairs would be hard to mess up, but I’ve tasted some pretty bad ones before.
Not here! The meat is full of flavour, the sauce is delicious, and they’ll let you put as many veggies on there as you want. Definitely recommend!

Having never had a donair, I decided to hit up Amean’s instead of McDonalds. This was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I ordered the chicken donair combo. Thank goodness, the gentleman working told me it had onions on it, so I ordered it minus the onions. The donair was very filling and very garlic-​y. For a garlic lover, it was perfect! This cost me 12 $ plus a tip and was so worth it. Thanks Unilocal,for directing me here!

YUM!!! Always consistent in yummy donair. Close to my work so Ive stopped by here a few times. Worth trying out!

Best donair in the city. Period. I eat there at least twice a month. Service is always friendly busy or not (usually busy). Super clean and up beat enviromment.

What else is there to say? This is the best donair in the city. You will not have donair eating remorse. Fast and friendly service. Be sure to come early for lunch in order to avoid the rush.
Surprise menu item? Try the donair pizza. Its ridiculous

Hand down the best Donairs in the city

Closer to a 3.5 in my opinion.
Fresh ingredients, GOOD service any time I have been there so not sure why the one reviewer got such an attitude on the phone. We are all entitled to an off day once in a while.
Donairs are tasty and well seasoned. The pizzas are actually one of the forgotten stars here I think. A nice crust and tasty topping and properly cooked each and every time. Not the most gourmet of places but there is a reason there a ton of donair choices in the city and that is because we like them :)
Clean place too which I like as it says a bit about the «C.A.R.E. that goes into it. (Cleanliness, attention, recycling, environment)

This is my go-​to donair place in the city. Consistently great quality and fresh food. The service is fast and friendly, and the place is immaculately clean.
Recently tried their pizza and was also very impressed. Sauce is well seasoned with a great crust.

Nice fellas run this place, but in the end, they’re just making donairs. Nothing life changing here. It’s alright.

I actually come here more than how many times it has showed i have checked in. It’s because i get distracted on how good the food is here. I have a hobby of trying new donair places around the city, and this place is on the top. The guys here are always keeping themselves busy, 1 person is always cleaning, which is a huge plus, cause i love to know that im eating at a clean place. I also like how i get called boss my the owner every time i walk in! The food is great, its no rushed, but they make it fairly fast. The meat is tasty and not super oily or greasy like other donair places which i like. They guys are also not to shy when you ask for little extra on your food. I usually never tip fast food places, but i do here simply because i want to give back to the many times they let me get away with being a couple cents short.

The donairs here are great. The meat doesn’t taste fatty and the toppings are fresh. They have gotten the sauce right here — not too sweet. The guys who work here are friendly and they happily accomodate my odd requests for a «donair salad» when I’m in the mood for lower-​carb.
The interior is standard donair-​shop ghetto. I haven’t had the pizza here, but I’ve heard good things about it.

This might be my new favorite donair place. The service was quick and friendly. My donair was not greasy, but rather it was tasty and good sized. I would be a regular here if I lived a bit closer.
