It’s hard to find a hotel that has a lounge, let alone a decent lounge. But Aurora manages to do so. It is well staffed, nicely renovated, cleverly staged and has a pretty good wine/​cocktail menu. They bring you tiny side cars of chex mix! Super cute! And as ALL Alberta hotel lounges should have, many TVs that are playing TSN or the hockey game. If the ballroom is booked that night, the after event crowd pours into the lounge and it becomes a jam-​packed, hell of a good time!
So, if you are looking to book a hotel stay or have friends that are, I can recommend the Delta South purely on the merits of the lobby lounge. It is hands down better then a lot of the downtown lobby lounges (rhymes with Pestin, I’m looking at you!)
