Only been one time, and severely disappointing. Waited about 15 minutes for my Donair Sub. The Donair meat was clearly lunch meat and low quality lunch meat at that. Bread was stale, service was apathetic at best. Considering there is a subway right next door, I will not be coming back.

Sandwiches seem to be a favourite with the work crowd. Or so it seems to me, with so many shops clustered so close together. I don’t think I’ll ever understand the hype — I have yet to be blown away by any sandwich I’ve had so far in town. Well, I randomly stumbled upon some reviews that claimed Big Daddy’s Sandwich Co was worth checking out. Cheap prices and generous portions? Sounds like a good combo to me. Their Friday special sounded tasty. Pulled pork on what looked like a cheese bun. Menu is all about the sandwiches: fresh, subs, donairs and then soups/salads. There’s also a breakfast menu available from 8am to 11am weekdays. Service is pretty fast and run by a friendly family of Filipinos. They were already out of their beef barley soup(not sure how that happened as we arrived just past noon). — Our famous clubhouse sandwich combo($ 13.50) — you choose your type of bread(white, brown and multigrain), whether you want it toasted and then can customize what exactly you want for toppings. Options that I remember are tomato, cucumber, red onion, alfalfa sprouts, banana peppers, cheese(three types: swiss, mozzarelo and provolone?), mustard, mayo. They also throw a dill pickle on your tray for good measure. — Tomato beef vegetable — not too much to write home about when it comes to their soup. Pretty standard, pretty generic soup. — Tuna salad sandwich($ 8.50) — my buddy L went with the tuna salad. Again, pretty standard and simple. The first few bites I wasn’t that impressed as the tuna had a dry, stale texture to it but it got better after those initial bites. Kind of like Parks and Recreation after Season 1. Season 1 starts out impressively unimpressive but after that, it’s dyno-mite. The hunt continues for the best sandwich in town. If you’re stuck in this area, Sandwich & Sons is probably your best bet. Sorry Big Daddy’s but you need to step yo game up.

I love this place! I love discovering an unexpected gem in Edmonton song this place is just that! I have no idea how this place stays in business with the amount of meat they put on the sandwich! I usually get the turkey club and I cannot finish it! I eat half for link and half for dinner. I really like the ladies who work there and I feel great supporting them. Go try them out if you love sandwiches!

We went here for a lunch recently on the recommendation of a friend. The parking situation is not bad at all. The décor is fairly bare bone and that’s fine if it means I get to eat tasty food and great prices. I ordered a combo with my choice of drink and soup. The price was very reasonable and the sandwich was enormous in size and flavor. The service was nice as you get called up to grab your order. Our table was unsteady, but apart from that, the place was great and we will be back!

Wow… wow, wow, wow! Big Daddy’s Sandwich Co. is the real deal. There is a VERY good possibility these are Edmonton’s biggest sandwiches. Very rarely do I have trouble fitting something in my mouth(insert blowey joke here). And not just big, really good too. I had their clubhouse and was absolutely blown away. Definitely a sandwich for two if you don’t have a massive appetite. The ingredients were super fresh and they didn’t skimp on anything. At all. They also threw in some potato and bacon soup that was absolutely terrific. Thick as a brick, super tasty and of course no skimping when it came to the bacon! Big Daddy’s Sandwich Co. need to seriously think about either opening a second location or staying open on the weekends cause I can’t keep calling in sick to work just for sandwiches!!!
