The scooter gang was out in the northeast causing trouble and mayhem as usual when we come across a neighbourhood pub that looked like an interesting stop. So we stop in for a beer and some appetizers. The Pub isn’t packed but there are people playing pool and a few more people drinking at the bar. Music is playing fairly loud but you can still have a conversation. A few TV’s on the wall behind me showing sports. Our waitress was very good. We asked what beers were on tap and bottled and she rattled them off very well. We were impressed. Service was pretty quick and food was decent. Nothing above expectations of a local strip mall pub. We had some bottled beer and tried some loaded nachos with chicken and the«Chimmy’s Cheese Rolls» which were described as a customer favourite on the menu. The nachos were pretty standard pub fare. Nothing special but not bad either. The Chimmy’s Cheese Rolls were interesting and good. I would get those again for sure. They have 2 or 3 types of cheese and they are rolled into a spring roll wrapper shape and deep fried. They are served with a sweet chilli sauce. I don’t know how they were reading my mind but I had a hankering for some deep fried cheese when we rolled in so I was quite satisfied with my choice. The 2 pool tables were free for the night. The sign said«Free Pool 7pm — Close» and they were busy all of the time that we were there. Another sign mentioned Karaōke night. I believe they have a DJ on Saturday’s too. There is a small dance floor as well but no one was dancing. it was pool or drinking for the customers this night. If you live in the area it is a decent little pub to check out for sure. No earth shattering expectations but I have experienced worse pubs than this one. Scooter Gang approved!

I was just here to celebrate a birthday with a few friends. This place has been in this strip mall for a long time but since I don’t live in the area, I didn’t really know what it would be like. The place looked old and could use some renovations, especially the washroom areas. The strong smell of urine from the men’s washroom was overwhelming as our table was closeby. I actually thought it was on the floor by our table. There is a small dance floor and the DJ starts at 9:30 p.m. on Sat. Music can be requested on a computer near the front window for a charge and there are two pool tables. Although I didn’t eat here, a friend did order a cheeseburger and fries and she thought it was okay. The fries looked like the home-made ones but was quite greasy. For a Sat. night, they did have a drink special for $ 5. We did have fun here since we were a group however, if you just want a drink the atmosphere isn’t great.
