On nom nom bar food. Nothing fancy– dive bar atmosphere and die-hard regulars(one lady lives basically across the street and told us how she sees her neighbours there drunk-driving almost every day), but DAMN if they don’t have awesome specials and delicious fried foods. We used to go for the game-day discount on the appetizer sampler(great value), but we(bf and i) have gotten lazy lately and taken to just walking 2 mins and picking up the food to eat at home while binge-watching TV. Only complaint is to do with the bacon– which both me and the man have on our regualr order– mine with the side cesar, he gets the bacon cheeseburger. One day it’s delicious strips of real bacon, the next it’s a sad sprinkling of bacon bits. Good prices and awesome fried bar food.

I love this place, some off the best wings you can get, the pizza is amazing, but when you fold it in half to a calzone… Damn. If you’re undecided, just get the party platter, all you traditional pub foods on one plate(it’s a big paste) great for any sporting event now with the new big screens to, they seem to be everywhere.

I drove last this place for years, heading to pick up pizza from a big chain whos name ends in «hut». Finally decided to order from here instead. I’m glad I did. I’ve never eaten in, so I cannot speak to that, but their pizza is absolutely fantastic. Great crust, perfect sauce, and nice thick cheese. Again, haven’t eaten in, but the staff I’ve talked to when picking it up has been very friendly and helpful as well — it seems they enjoy working there. Definitely recommended. I’m frequently embarrassed by the number of empty Chicago Joe’s boxes I have in my recycle bin.

We went here for dinner as a group of 7(my boyfriend, his family and I). The place is sort of dive-y and there isn’t much to say about the atmosphere. We pulled together some tables and made enough room for all of us. The waitress was pretty quick to get to us and get our drink order. The food seemed to take forever — maybe we were super hungry, but either way, it did take quite a while to get our food in front of us. When the food did come, it was ok. It wasn’t mind blowing, nor was it horrible. It was regular old pub food. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here(especially because it is super far from my house) but I wouldn’t ever refuse to come here. The place was not packed and it was a Saturday night, so you can tell it does not get very busy here. Go and enjoy a burger from this neighbourhood pub, but don’t expect anything amazing.
