Dairy Queen

On occasion you’ll get the urge to go have a blizzard. For me and my bf it’s almost 20 for the largest. Granted we stretch it over a couple days but it’s definitely a treat we rarely treat ourselves too and there’s the odd time they don’t mix it enough and the cheesecake bits are all at the bottom. Also there’s the cheeseburger deals on all the time which we usually get. Never had a bad one here where as I’ve had burned ones at other locations. All in all it is your typical fast food. The service is slow at times. Have to check your orders, ask for ketchup etc otherwise you might not get it. Also I don’t get why on the odd drive thru were asked to move ahead out of the way and they’ll bring out food to us when it’s ready. It’s a bit odd especially when there’s no one behind us. But in the end for the basics I do like this place the most. Great location as well

This is my neighbourhood Dairy Queen that I’ve lived by my entire live. It’s fairly small, but it’s nice, especially since it was renovated. I miss the old owner. He was this tall, slim, older guy. I’m not sure what happened, whether he stepped away, sold the business, or died. Either way, I miss him.
The service here is rather slow, but I have experienced this at almost every Dairy Queen I’ve been to. This place gets packed in the summer, especially on a hot day. Sometimes it can be a 20 – 30 min wait just to get an ice cream. I’m not that patient, so instead I’ll get something on a stick from the 7 – 11 next door.
I don’t come here that often, because it’s expensive. It’s best to come while they are having some kind of a deal. For some reason, this location continues to offer this deal: two single cheeseburgers for $ 3.99 & two double cheeseburgers for $ 5.99. The other locations only have it off and on, which is really annoying.
I’ve gotten many ice cream cakes here, and they are always well made and so amazingly good, especially the fudge and cookie crunch in the middle. I’ve special ordered a couple of cakes here too, and they’ve done a very good job on the lettering and design each time. All the ice cream stuff on the menu is good too. I love Oreo Blizards and Moolattes. But honestly, McDonald’s ice cream is almost just as good and is way cheaper.
