Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton South

This is my fourth time staying at this hotel, and it will be my last. The front desk staff is incredibly unhelpful and dismissive. After a long day of traveling for work all I wanted was a quiet night’s sleep. I was assigned to a room on the first floor, in the first room in front of the elevator and a staff door that slams incredibly loudly every 5 minutes. I asked if I could please have any other room and they advised they had none. A colleague of mine check in 20 minutes after that and got a room on the sixth floor. They then offered me a pair of earplugs which at the time I declined. At 1:30 in the morning after a couple of hours on repeatedly being woken up I called and asked for earplugs. I was then informed they don’t have any.
If you want a quiet place to stay with a friendly staff, stay somewhere else.

I booked it with Hotwire and they could not check me in because of my profession. I have never been treated that way in my life. I could not check in my already paid room. The front desk guy is the most ignorant person I ever met and that is pure discriminations.

Previously would have been 4 or 5, but after our last experience 1 star is being generous.
We stayed there previously in the Jacuzzi Suite and were extremely satisifed. So, for my boyfriend’s birthday I booked again. The room did not have the same features as the previous room had, i. e; a 2 person tub. 2 pygmys may fit in this tub, but a 5’8″ and a 5’6″ person of average build cannot fit comfortably. Also, the tub only had one bathrobe so obviously meant for one person. What the tub lacked in size it made up for in garish, tacky stairs surrounding it. It looked like something one would find in the rubble of a demolished Atlantic City fleatrap circa 1986. If the room we stayed in before was a pleasant anomaly, then they should make it clear that there is no uniformity to the rooms in terms of the features you are *paying* for.
When informing the front desk about this situation, was greeted with a shrug and a dismissive tone in being told that there are no other rooms available. When asked who we can complain to, another shrug and she asked the other person behind the desk (the Employee of the Month as witnessed by picture on wall, the pickins’ are obviously slim at this hotel) also shrugged and said he didn’t know. If one of my employees said this to anyone, I would fire them on the spot (god bless owning a company in an At Will state!)
The visit was not a total loss as we enjoyed the phenomenal Chinese/​Vietnamese food at 9 Grill across the street, anyone in the area should pick up some noodles before going to a better hotel.

Had an emergency stay here due to a wildfire in Banff. The hotel is old but the people that were working there during the night shift were amazing. We were only here for a few hours.

We are with the Dean Graziosi Event and we used a ballroom and it was set up for us very professionally. The staff was very helpful, the only downfall of this room was that the internet was way slow, it took forever to load. Everything else was great.

The rooms are old and we found pickles and a hard boiled egg from the previous guest. The housekeeping staff did an ok job, there was tons of dust everywhere and it really bothered me but the pictures were uneven on the wall.
I was not blown away but nothing really stood out for me either. It was in a interesting area, as there was a old and interesting/​shaddy casino across the street and just down the street was a strip club! The rooms either look onto a parking lot of a car sales lot or the Casino.

Not that bad of a place. The rooms have been recently renovated and were nice and clean. The bathroom was dated but clean. 2 massive TV’s in a room was a plus. Mattress could do with replacing but I have a stellar one at home so I can’t say much.
The front desk staff where very friendly on check in and check out. Te neighbourhood the hotel is in was interesting to say the least but it’s pretty good for being in an industrial area.

Ghetto 4 Points location. It appears that they’re in the process of revising the front desk but I wasn’t very happy with my experience. Old, out dated and definitely in need of a lot of TLC to bring it up to standards.

Well, I had to go here for a lunch meeting a little while back. I had always seen this hotel driving by but never been inside. It didn’t look too impressive.
When we got there, we were pointed towards our lunch room. It was separate from the regular eating area because we had booked it to have a meeting.
The food was good and the staff were nice. I wasn’t blown away by any of it but it was good. Better than I expected.
