What’s with the haters? It’s just a juice and smoothie bar and I’ve never had a bad one here.

I walk over to the table where my friend is sitting in the food court after ordering, paying for, and receiving my tiny, little watermelon flavoured juice and smoked turkey wrap(that did look/smell pretty delicious I must say). I was so proud that I was able to control myself and choose this more healthy option over New York fries poutine(which is where I was headed originally). I sit down and notice this HUGE plate of food that my friend is working on(from one of the Greek outlets I believe) and as I sit down he asks me, «Manda, how much did you pay for that?» To which I reply, «$ 11 and change — almost $ 12 I think, why?» He laughs and says cuz I just paid like 6 buck for this(as he points to his plate overflowing with food). My juice was really good(it was less sweet than I find at other places which I enjoyed) and my wrap was pretty average. I found it difficult to choose a wrap because the majority of them are made with(what looks to be) processed chicken pieces — not a huge fan. I choose the smoked turkey hoping it wouldn’t have that processed meat texture to it but unfortunately it was processed turkey pieces as well. When I was ordering I noticed a note on the menu board which said snack size juice(which I ordered) and 8 inch wrap(which I ordered) COMBO for a little less than $ 8. Not too sure why I ended up paying almost $ 12 but it was so busy at the time I wasn’t going to make a fuss(not to mention I am not one to usually make a fuss anyway — I just Unilocal lol). I sometimes have a difficult time finding a nice, light, heath conscious snack at the Kinsgway Mall food court. This would be a great place to go if it wasn’t so pricey — or if the prices charged reflected what was listed on the menu board. I would give it another try though — I did really enjoy the juice!

Don’t like any of the smoothies… Go to booster juice instead.

Jugo Juice smoothies aren’t the best I’ve ever had, but they certainly do the trick. I ordered a mango smoothie and it was decent. I didn’t beat the flavor of a Booster Juice smoothie, but it was still pretty good. It worked well as a meal replacement since I hadn’t eaten all day. If you’re at the Kingsway Mall and need a smoothie, you should definitely check it out.

Jugo Juice is a smoothies and fruit juice bar that could probably be considered competition for Booster Juice. The drinks are a bit different, however. I had something that seemed like it had oatmeal in it — the texture actually worked and it was quite filling. Because the drinks are so heavy and filling they are not something I go out of my way for unless I am in a hurry and need a meal replacement. This location is attached to a fitness centre and there is a lot of seating around the area. However, the store itself is basically set up for you to grab your drink and go.
