History

Established in 2012.

As one of Edmonton’s newest naturopathic health centres, alpineHEALTH has grown quickly over the last few years. Our director began training in the Faculty of Medicine at the U of A as a medical laboratory scientist back in 1984.

Dr. Michael Schaplowsky, B.Sc.(Gen), B.Sc.(MedLabSci), B.Ed.(BioSci), ND

Dr. Michael Schaplowsky is a licensed naturopathic doctor who completed two Bachelor of Science degrees at the University of Alberta. Dr. Schaplowsky’s first B.Sc. was in the Faculty of Science in Biological Sciences with a strong focus in genetics. His second B.Sc. was in the Faculty of Medicine and focused on Medical Laboratory Studies. During this time he did a one year internship at the University of Alberta Hospitals.

He earned his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the oldest and most well respected college in North America — National College of Natural Medicine.

Having spent his whole life in Edmonton, Dr. Michael returned to Edmonton to serve the people in the place he calls home.
