If you want a great massage therapist, who does deep tissue massage, and uses the perfect amount of pressure, then look no further, Amanda is the perfect person for you! I found out about her through a promotion they were having when she started, and have since been back to her several times for massages. In fact, my boyfriend and I both use her services and love what she does! She’s super sweet too. It’s been awhile since we’ve both been there (summers are busy), but looking forward to our next massages soon we hope!

I have been getting laser hair removal done at the north (central?) location — full monty, underarms. I had tried other laser places. But after being here I would never go anywhere else.
All of my treatments have been done by the same technician. She is very professional and immediately puts you at ease. She knows everything there is to know about laser and can answer all of your questions. This is very important when choosing where to take your business as lasers can cause SERIOUS damage in the wrong hands. The laser wands, ice packs, etc. seem to be properly cleaned between clients which is far, far more than I can say about other places I have been. Ick! considering where that wand has been…
This place is a little tricky to find, but is well worth the search.

Found this place because of a coupon deal… I had to buy it on the spot for $ 50 but I got haircut + gloss + facial + first lazer treatment. Didn’t go back for a second laser treatment because I’m not really interested in that. It’s hidden on the second floor, and you have to go in through an unmarked door by the Sport Institute to find it upstairs. The facial was amazing and I will never go somewhere else for a haircut. They are the same price range as any reasonable hair salon, but these guys make it a very personalized experience, every time I’ve gone I’ve been offered tea or water. The stylists all seem to be close and have no problem working together. They don’t take walk-in’s as far as I know, I usually book my appointments a week or two in advance.

I have done a lot of research on cost of either microdermabrasion or laser hair removal, and this by far is the most affordable. Located near kingsway mall, it’s located upstairs in the business center by b street bar. It shares it’s location with a hair salon, but is quiet in the rooms so you don’t hear the hair driers going. Don’t go if your expecting a 5 star pamper day. It gets to the point and gets you in and out at a great speed.
I generally go every 6 weeks for my microdermabrasion and laser hair removal and generally for a full Monty, underarms and the micro it runs around the mid 200’s. Not bad considering my gf goes to a place in st. Albert and pays $ 285 alone for the full Monty. Another plus is they constantly offer specials on different services which you can find on their website.
What I find is nice is once you go, they will reschedule you with the same girl for your next continuing appointment, so you are more at ease and get to know who is messing with your tidbits.
With the microdermabrasion, your skin gets fully cleansed using dermalogica products and analyzed with your first visit. My girl was able to tell I don’t drink enough water just by looking at my skin. And pointed out things I didn’t even notice before I had wrong with my skin.
Everytime I go, I get fully prepped and primed and then get a session done, just to get a relaxing 20 min snooze session while I have a moisturing face mask on in the dark with calming music in the background. To top off, a dermalogica SPF lotion is applied which is pretty intense. Before you get to walk out the door they will always try and rebook for the next appointment instead of making you call in and try to fit in which is great.
I would have to thank my friend for suggesting this place in the first place. The pricing including the service is super in my books. Definitely a check out. Don’t expect amazing results within one session. Do note it takes a couple to get the expected results.

Professional staff who aren’t chatty. Clean rooms. Respect for your dignity. These are things you look for when looking to remove hair by laser, am I right?

Let me start by saying that this place is easy to miss if you are the kind of person who doesn’t pay attention to billboard signs as you drive. I am one of this kind of people, and I was able to find this beauty centre only when I walked down 111^th avenue. Silky Skin Laser is located on the second floor of the building, and feels very cozy and private.
I go to this place regularly to puchase Dermalogica skin care, and I have been there once for a facial. All the ladies who work there are trained aestheticians so you are always in good hands.
This place offers an impressive range of services from manicures and haircuts to laser hair removal and vein therapy. Although I haven’t done laser hair removal at Silky Skin, my friend comes here, and she is very happy with the results.
My facial at this place was great. The asthetician’s name was Diana, and she was professional and knowledgeable. I came for the facial a week before my wedding hoping to come out of Silky Skin fresh and glowing, and Diana totally delivered. All the products she used during the facial were from Dermalogica. She started off by asking detailed questions about my skin care régime and by creating Dermalogica’s face mapping chart. Basically, she personalized my facial. Then she steamed, exfoliated, extracted, moisturized and toned my skin. I left one hour later with clear, glowing skin. Any redness I had after extractions subsided quickly.
I was so impressed with the results that I came back two weeks later and purchased every single Dermalogica product Diana used on me during my facial. I will definitely be going to Silky Skin to get laser hair removal.
