Called ahead to check if they had something before driving over. The lady who answered, Diane, was not helpful and seemed down right confused when I asked if she would be able to check if they carried a specific product. Frustrated, I asked if I could talk to the seafood department. She transferred me, but the guy there was even less helpful and ultimately hung up on me rather then looking.

This location is always clean and the staff is amazing except for one lady at the deli, she’s just plain rude every time and never smiles. But everyone else from the bakery to produce to customer service is fantastic! I love how they give free cookies to kids and provide a full selection. Unlike some chains that only give 1 kind of cookie. They also now give free fruit to kids like bananas, oranges, and apples! They also have tiny shopping carts for the kids to keep them engaged and now I don’t have to carry a basket! Even the normal size carts have steering wheels to entertain kids while parents shop. They also just added a new section dedicated to healthy eating and people with allergies. The only complaint is they still don’t bag groceries properly, where bread is packaged with something heavy, etc. They also make amazing cakes and are well priced. Other than that prices for most things are more expensive and those are the items I get at Superstore.

Nothing is right in this store. Chips are cracked, noodles are cracked, eggs are cracked. Every single time. How do they even shelve these things? Managers or supervisors are rude and arrogant, both to customers and cashiers. Food selection is limited. Produce seems gross. Store lighting is dimmer than usual. And on top of that, the prices are more expensive than other grocery stores. I only shop here when I’m in a hurry because it’s closer from my house. My friends who used to work there never shop there, and that says something. However contrary to the other reviewers I had positive experiences at the post store — maybe they’ve changed since.

This Sobeys is a nice location. It is our neighbourhood location where we normally shop. We are Air Miles collectors and since they started offering those, it was even more enticing to attend there. They are not the lowest priced grocery store, however, we do find that their produce is a higher quality. It tastes fresher, lasts longer, and just simply is just a lot more colourful when you look at it. They do have some decent sales on other non-produce/meat items, but in general you would be paying more than going to one of the bigger box stores. However, it does get it all done in one shot. The store is always clean, staff are friendly, the checkouts are relatively quick, and the pharmacy is AWESOME!

I always like shopping here, preferring it over the slightly closer Save-On. The staff are friendly and the food seems to be a higher quality. Even the CanadaPost outlet here is efficient and friendly — practically unheard of!
