Three Bananas Cafe

Really cute spot to grab coffee or lunch with colleagues, friends, or alone.
I basically just wanna comment on how awesome the service was the day that I went. The friendly Asian barista could sense that I was in a rush and so prepared my simple drip coffee ahead of the other ladies with complicated orders who were just looking to linger and hangout — that is great intuition and superior service! He also didn’t hesitate to give me the key to the Men’s Bathroom when the Women’s was occupied for a while.
It’s little things, attention to detail, and being open to fulfilling your customers unique needs that make a good café a great one!

Centrally located café right on the edge of Churchill square.
The food is mediocre café fare and the coffee is pedestrian.
The service I received was excellent.
I would stop here again, if I really needed to, on my way somewhere else but would not come for its own sake.
It does satisfy the caffeine craving regardless.

Was here on the weekend and we enjoyed ourselves. Breakfast wrappes were tasty and the cappuccino I had was the best I have had in a long time.

We stopped by here as it was close to our hotel and we needed a quick breakfast. It’s quite a cute coffee shop in a great location — I particularly liked the three different coloured Andy Warhol-​esque bananas painted on the entry.
I got a decaf Americano and the breakfast wrap with bacon. The coffee was quite good, I enjoyed it, but the wrap wasn’t my favourite. While it was nicely pressed and heated, I found the bacon a little fatty, and there wasn’t very much stuffing in the wrap so I found I was mostly eating bread. I also didn’t see any condiments, which would have made the bread a bit easier to swallow (pun intended!) For the price I would have liked a little more filling.

I’m bananas for Three Bananas. (Seriously? No one has done that yet?) This place is a super chill place to hang out. It’s funky, lively looking but a relaxed space to chill during a hot day walking around the festival area.
They’ve got huge windows (up to 2 ½ stories at one point) that let in a lot of natural light and give you plenty to look at while sipping your coffee and eating your panini.
It’s basically like an air conditioned patio…
They’ve got a range of paninis, of which I ordered a Turkey, Bacon, Avacado. Solid panini Banana boys.
Ice coffees are a pretty great deal for under $ 4 and a pretty great side. Unless you like it really sweet, if you get a flavour, I’d consider getting it half sweet. Hazlenut is tasty, but holy mother effin’ sugar rush!

Lovely soy caramel latte, the coffee was extremely flavourful. Truly a rich shot! I visited when this venue when it first opened-​the ambience was brighter and more chic– perhaps the clouds darkened the atmosphere and I didn’t notice any music. The furnishings were clever, spartanesque when new but look abit sad now. Time for some comfy corners and a bit more inviting homeiness to encourage clients to linger awhile? Nothing deterred the service which was timely and very pleasant. Chocolate biscotti too delicious to not get devoured lickety split. Thumbs up for what I ate and drank but declining interest in lingering in this perfectly situated little bistro. A shame because after the symphony or theatre this would be a great hangout.

This is a great spot in downtown Edmonton. Went here a while ago when it was snowy and cold and I ordered a chai tea latte and a breakfast sandwich and I was impressed by both. The staff were kind and quick with what I ordered. The second time I came here I ordered one of their pizzas and an Italian soda and I was so impressed. The pizza was good but the staff were so incredibly kind. It’s a nice place with a fair amount of seating and the view is nice because it looks over Churchill. I’d imagine this place is busier in the summer but it was nice for a winter weekend.

Chai latte and a thin crust pizza — now THAT’S downtown excellence in a hurry! This little gem of a place is a great location to have an informal business meeting — and if you’re lucky enough to get the large comfy chairs at the back, I’d suggest a lottery ticket should be your next stop!

With a spectacular location right in the middle of Sir Winston Churchill square, I really hoped that this would be a fabulous café with some excellent eats. Alas, no. It is a cute café but the signature food item, pizza, it not very good at all.
