WORST«Chinese food» EVER!!! This was the only restaurant open for miles and miles. So, we decided to grab some take out before we went home. The lo mein was made with regular spaghetti and wasn’t stir fried at all. Everything was gooey, and translucent. The beef and broccoli was way overlooked so the broccoli fell apart when stabbed with a utensil. I kept taking a bite and saying to my family«I don’t understand how there is zero flavor». Not even salty. Nothing. My father had the house fried rice which contained ham, shrimp and salty flavorless rice. I’ve had some bad Chinese food in my day, and this was by far the worst. The woman at the register who took our order asked if we wanted any egg rolls because«we are famous for our egg rolls». So I had her add one for $ 1.5C, which turned out to be the best part, of a terrible meal. It still had pretty much no flavor, but it was edible. Nothing else was. There were 3 of us, and we were given 1 fortune cookie, and 1 packet of soy sauce. Humorous.

We drove by this place so many times throughout our one week in Cavendish that we had to give it a try on our last night. We placed a pick up order of sweet and sour chicken balls, egg rolls, two types of chow mein, chicken and pork fried rice. When I went to pick up the order, I was surprised at how pretty, clean and modern the restaurant is! The two women working there were equally as pretty. :) The price for all that food was about $ 100. That’s about as much as you’d pay for the same thing in Ottawa. So I was pleased about that. The rice and chow mein were great! And I actually enjoyed the egg rolls and chicken balls too. The pork fried rice was not for me, but my relatives liked it. It was really nice to see a great-looking Chinese restaurant in Cavendish that measured up to the restaurants I like in Ottawa.
