This is the restaurant has the most horrible owners I have every dealt with. I called asking for delivery since they say they deliver. I just moved here from another country so I asked the owner to hold on while I checked the exact location he then replied you don’t no where you live in a very rude tone once I explained to him I just moved here he kept being very rude. Then I called back to speak to someone else he said no and he thought I was a fake costumer and told me I can go somewhere else. Absolutely disgusting behavior !! I will never go back or recommend this place.

Love Hala’s — their Lebanese food is excellent(don’t miss out on the tabouli) and I love their pizzas. Not overloaded in grease, the pizza is what is should be… good crust with a lot of toppings. Great service from Hala and Antoine as well… one of the best local pizza joints in Halifax.

One of our favourite pizza places in Halifax. Hala and Antoine make fantastic fresh pizza and I love their tibouli.

Halas makes some of the best pizza I’ve ever tasted. The dough is so soft and fresh that I even eat all my crusts! We usually order The Works with pineapple as an extra topping, and a side of donair sauce. Whenever we call in an order for pickup the pizza is always ready in 15 minutes. Sadly, their poutine is not as fantastic as their pizza.

I do try to stick to the buy local flavour as best I can. I try and experience as much«ma and pa» kind of businesses as I can… I have been here once and it was great food, and quick and easy service. I tried to return the business tonight. stuck at home during a 12.5 hour shift, I needed to ask for delivery a mere 400 metres away because I was glued to the computer screen. I informed him, and he was a little snarky about it… whatever. I ordered about 17 dollars in food(between 2 of us) and he told me to hold on. Came back and said the total would be 26 dollars? 26? I was a little stunned and accepted and hung up. Took a minute to think about it… and realized how ridiculous that was. he answered the phone saying«Yes Dan» in a sarcastic tone. I asked him why it was so high. He said he had to add a delivery charge on such a minimal order… I was flabbergasted. an arbitrary 7 or 8 dollar delivery charge for a 400m drive. Maybe I am being unreasonable. but to slap an arbitrary charge on something out of spite, and not being up front about it is the easy route to no business from me street.

My one and only Hala’s experience was lackluster to say the least. No, I didn’t order a pizza or any of the Lebanese options they offer, instead I went with what my craving demanded: a cheese burger and poutine. Now, I wasn’t expecting the best burger of my life, but I did want it to at least be edible. The same went for the poutine. The burger was clearly a overcooked, frozen patty. So overcooked it was like chewing on tire rubber — I threw a fair bit of it in the garbage. The poutine LOOKED good, but wasn’t. The gravy was flavourless, I ended up adding S&P AND ketchup to it, which I never do. Perhaps there are other items on the menu that are, at least, edible and maybe have some flavour. But my first experience has left me not really wanting to try anything else.

This was my first time at this location. I had a medium donair which was smaller than I expected but very tasty. In my opinion better than your typical Halifax donair. My brother had the donair burger which he raved about. Can’t wait to try it on my next visit. Recommended.

I’m reviewing food that cured my insane hangover. Yes, it’ll be biased. So, you know those hangovers just that make you feel, well, like you’re knocking on deaths door? This is pizza cure. We had a medium pizza, one side was veggie with pepperoni(I know, contradiction! But it had the veggies I wanted), and the other side had the pepperoni trio. THey don’t go light with their toppings, but with that said they crust isn’t thick enough to support it so it’s not a hold in your hand type of slice. Secondly, there is not a lot of sauce so if you’re looking for a ‘saucy slice’ this wouldn’t be for you. I’m a huge garlic fingers person and was sadly disappointed with theirs. There wasn’t much of a taste and they just tasted bland. I’m undecided on if I’m a fan, or if I’m satisfied because I feel like I’m alive again. However, it was fast, and still hot when we sat down to eat. Bonus.
