The number one thing I love about Jessy’s Pizza is how reliable they are. Every time I get delivery, they’re always on time. Every time I order the same pizza, it’s always consistent. Nothing is ever off about them. The pizza itself is delicious, but it’s nothing to call home about. Back in my hometown I have a favorite pizza place that I love to order from. Don’t get me wrong, Jessy’s is good, but it doesn’t have that *oomph* that a couple of my favorite pizza places have — that special something that sets them apart from the others. That’s just my opinion, but if you’re still looking for something tasty, reliable, and fits well into your budget, then give Jessy’s an order! You won’t be disappointed.

Updated review: last couple time I have ordered donairs at this, and other Jessy locations, they have gone way too heavy on sauce. I guess I could just tell them to not put so much sauce on put should I have to? I have also found portion size to be inconsistent; sometimes you get a snack other times a meal. Think I will try ordering this Halifax delicacy elsewhere for a bit.

I don’t often go to pizza places as(like the last reviewer) I have zero self control, so when I do, I go for the single slice. Also, When I get pizza I expect it to be excellent because it is my cheat meal! I’ve learned that, at this location the best time to get a slice is between 2:00pm-3:30pm. During this time, you are getting the freshest slices just after the lunch rush. If you go then, the slices are awesome, cheesey, the sauce tastes like pizza sauce not too sweet, not too spicy and good amount of toppings. Following this time, however, I find the slices aren’t as great, maybe rushed for the supper hour? just aren’t as well put together. and late night… stay away! It’s the left overs! If you are looking for a fresh slice. They are Great! I rated it 4 because if you go at the right time it’s awesome! totally worth the calories. But they would have gotten a 5 if they were more consistant!

As someone who can’t eat cheese, most pizza places are out. Finding a place that a) offers more than pizza and Greek dishes and b) delivers to your area can be difficult. Fortunately there’s Jessy’s. Mike likes their pizza and I like their burgers and fries. Actually, their fries are the best I’ve had in HRM in a long time; they actually taste like potato! Prices are reasonable and we’ve never had a long wait for our food, which has always come hot.

All things DONAIR… They have donair pogos!!! And they are super delicious! Their donair egg rolls are very good too! Want a little bit more? Get a donair platter… Yum… you get fries covered in donair meat covered in cheese, onions and tomatoes then covered in donair sauce! The donair meat here is very flavorful!

Stopped by for a quick slice and a pop while I was running late for a meeting. I got a pepperoni slice, all they had ready and a pop for 5 bucks. It wasn’t bad and it was huge. The restaurant was not overly clean which seems to be the norm for pizza joints in this city. I would go back though

My review is around one item, and one item only. The Slice. I can’t order pizza, as I have zero self control and I’m rubenesque enough. Bread is my favourite food on earth. Yes, bread. So pizza is my achilles heel… mmmmmm I digress. the slices here are huuuuuuuugeeeeee and saucy and doughy and delicious. For $ 5 you can get a slice and a pop(or water, as I do now that i am pop-sober) and it satisfies the pizza craving. well, for me anyways. Slices elsewhere are dry or greasy or not doughy enough or just not quite right.

I stopped in while visiting Halifax a few weeks back. I had a large donair and it was pretty amazing. Donairs are something Canada REALLY needs to get happening here in the US. The meat was spiced and cooked awesomely. The only drawback was red onions rather than white, but even that couldn’t detract from the greatness of this meal. The donair sauce was really tasty, I appreciated the thickness. Service was super fact. Was to go, Jessy’s!

Cheese, bread, tomato sauce, and your choice of toppings… it’s such a simple combination, and yet so delicious, and available in so many different varieties. In this case, if what you’re looking for is greasy, gooey, tasty, soak-up-that-hangover goodness, Jessy’s will get the job done! Slices are quite large, and they tend to keep the case pretty well stocked at this location(which isn’t always true at some of the other locations, where they sometimes run out of slices more often). The prices are decent as well, with an extra large pizza ringing in at between $ 16 and $ 20 before taxes, depending on how many and what type of toppings are chosen. Their quality is generally consistent, and quite yummy. Mmmmm…now I’ve got a craving. Forget about Jessy’s girl, I wish I had Jessy’s pizza!
