Not bad wings. Their suicide/habanero sauce is basically franks with some possibly additional peppers? …weak Visited on Sunday afternoon, it wasn’t very busy, but they only had one person bartending, serving, and hostessing. The atmosphere is cool, but young staff with random t-shirts and backwards hats kind of ruins it. Would not bother returning.

A converted limestone coach house has a great patio courtyard leading to a semi-traditional British pub. The food was good; our group ordered everything from wings to salads to fish tacos. My issue with the menu was the lack of genuine BritPub fare that one would expect given the theme. A lone menu item(veggie curry) seemed appropriate for the venue. The draft menu could have done better with at least a bitter or cask ale selection, but alas, Canadian and Keith’s etc. were at the pull. The interior does not have natural light, which helps make for an intimate setting, and there’s a fireplace. I have been here twice, both times in summer, but I would think this would make for a nice winter local. Will go back next time I am in Ancaster; but if it is an authentic British Pub you seek, please adjust your expectations accordingly.

Awesome home made pub food, superior customer service, great beers on tap(16 to choose from), and a great mature, loyal and friendly customer base. Located in one of Ancaster’s oldest buildings, 200 years old to be exact, this place is the real deal. As authentic as a British pub can get. Amazing beer line up, great home made pub food, with features created daily by the chef and kitchen. Beautiful, stone walled, courtyard patio, andan upstairs party room that can be rented for absolutely free, live music every weekend, and lots of awesome weekly events that include something for everyone. Truly a place to add to your pub list, check it out, bring your friends, and family, Sit Long, Talk Much, Laugh Often!!!
