History
Established in 1969.
The Phoenix started out as a club for grad students on McMaster campus in 1969. Toss a $ 1 in the can and you could help yourself to one of the beers in the fridge. Today, it’s a 180 seat restaurant with an extensive menu and local draught beer selection located in a beautiful heritage building on the edge of the wooded ravine. No longer is it just a place for grad students. All members of the community mingle here.
