We wandered into this place by accident on a weekend away after parking in the parking lot behind us. The smell was so good we had to find out what was on the menu, we weren’t disappointed. And when we’ve come back to Kingston since we’ve never had a disappointing meal here.

This is a solid 3 star Indian place in my books. I was hoping since it was downtown, it would be a bit better. Vegetable Korma here was quite good. I really enjoyed the creamy sauce they have. It had a very sweet taste that I’m not used to getting with korma dishes. The muttar paneer didn’t have any cubes of cheese. The cheese was in very tiny pieces and seemed to be just mixed in with the sauce. Kind of weird. There wasn’t much taste to it either. Overall, if I was downtown and really wanted some Indian food, I’d come back here. I wouldn’t go out of my way though.

We just stopped by this restaurant because some others we wanted to go to were closed. The place is very small but welcoming. The samosas are a bit spicy but excellent(the way they should be lol). We had the lunch special(good value!). Chicken curry with potatoes served on rice. Excellent. Overall very happy with the food and service. PS washroom clean :)

My little brother swears this is the best Indian food in Kingston. We picked up some takeout when I was visiting last week… it was okay, but I can’t say it was spectacular. First, the takeout is to be picked up at the back of the restaurant. It’s super sketchy — park in a parking lot and walk through an alley. Of course, this simply set my expectations even higher, since the best food is usually found in sketchy hole-in-the-wall type places(serious) Truthfully, I can’t even remember what I ordered, because it wasn’t great. Some sort of chicken curry, but the ratio of chicken to sauce was overwhelmingly saucy. I had rice to mix in, but ended up wasting a lot of the sauce. Plus, paying $ 13 for a dish with 6 tiny cubes of chicken seems a bit absurd. For some reason I thought it also had veggies, but apparently not. Just chicken and sauce. Mostly sauce. The good? Awesome samosas. I may just order those next time.

Small seating area but friendly staff and excellent quality food. Come in for lunch for menu item of the day — good value and good portions.

We visited this restaurant about a month ago. I had the chicken korma and my husband had the chicken vindaloo. We both truly enjoyed our meals. However, it was a bit pricy for what it was

I visited this place in June 2012, and the food tasted nothing like Indian food(I am from India). I ordered a Palak Paneer and it tasted nothing like it. The Naan too was not good.

Stopped here on the way home to Toronto with 2 hungry whiny kids and received a warm welcome, excellent service, and delicious food. Ordered butter chicken for the kids and was surprised to see it arrive at the table looking very different from the usual butter chicken served up in T.O. Indian restaurants– but after tasting it we all agreed we liked it better! The smoky flavor came from grilling the chicken over charcoal, then slicing it and adding it to the sauce. Mmmm! Also loved the very fresh Palak Paneer, Aloo Gobi and Fish Tikka. Will definitely return next time we’re in the area. Very kid-friendly!

Ate here for a dinner date today; arrived around 7 pm. Restaurant is narrow but has great atmosphere; can tell effort and thought was put into décor. The food and service were both great; I was full and very satisfied from ordering a chicken Madras and Palao rice. Girlfriend got a Lamb Vindaloos and regular rice, and that was delicious as well. I would say it’s pricey though; even after the 13% student discount my bill came to around $ 16.

Me and my famished cousin stumbled into this place far too close to closing time and were still welcomed warmly by the hostess. The tables were small, the menu was organized, and it wasn’t long before we had ordered and received our food. It was cozy because every dish came in its own I’m no connoisseur in indian cuisine, I just like good food; this indian food tasted fantastic, there was a lively and fresh taste in the curries/gravies, and the portions were almost too large for me to finish. I think I have found a treasure here — I’ll be back for the friendly owners, fantastic food, and prompt service — I’ll just make sure to go much earlier than closing next time :)

Wandered into this place while we scanned the area for a decent place for a late lunch and we were not disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Vindaloos(perfectly spicy) my colleague ordered a milder chicken curry. We also had the Naan. All I can say is wow. This Vindaloos really hit the spot. It hit all the marks, spiciness with great flavor. The other curry dish was very rich and mild with a great assortment of veggies. The owners were very nice and accommodating to the point asking us individually how we liked the curry spice-wise, if we liked it on the sweet site, etc. They came out and made sure that we were OK every chance they had. Good dining experience in Kingston. It really beats the pants off some of the other spots both flavor-wise and service-wise. Thumbs up!
