Great food and great atmosphere. They have tons of events here so keep your eyes out on them! Whether it been beers with profs, drag shows or clubbing nights, the grad club is one of the most versatile venues found in Kingston. Hosting events here is also made very easy and accessible by staff. Food is great and comes in generous portions. The drinks here are decently priced. Nachos are amazing! They have an appetizer plate that includes a variety of snacks such as chicken fingers, onion rings, fries and more. Would definitely recommend that. I like how most items on their menus have different sizes so it makes it easier to share. This isn’t a place just for grad students or students in general! Anyone and everyone is welcome here. Great atmosphere. This is a place that can turn from being laid back, having a drink, to a turnt up experience.

Been a regular here for the last few years. Solid staff, they know my usual drink and make a note to get to know folks. Good beers on tap; both conventional and craft brews, and local cider. They are a go-to spot for touring musicians and put on fun weekly events(open mics, disco bingo, trivia). The customers are a mix of locals and students. The food is pub style and improves every year. I recommend the nachos and burgers.

This is the kind of place you go to for the drinks and the friends, not the food. There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just typical pub food, nothing special. I’ve tried many things on the many on many trips here, and nothing was awful but nothing stood out, either. You kind of get what you expect, though. My only complaint would be that some items are pretty pricy for what you get!

The Grad Club is a great place to see a show! They always have some great local beers on top. I wouldn’t go out of my way for a meal at the Grad Club.

Props for the decent beer selection… but apart that, no table service, food is meh… I hear the events are really fun… But it’s not classy at all. I don’t know why, but this grad club is similar to Koerner’s at UBC in terms of atmosphere. The lack of table service does it for me…

What Kingston local doesn’t love the Grad Club? Sure, it’s the home of graduate students on Queen’s campus, but it doubles as a great local patio, and triples as one of the coolest places to catch amazing indie music acts. I can usually be found here for the weekly Trivia nights(Thursday if you’re curious); it will be packed with smartie students, but it’s always a good time. Wednesdays are Open Mike Night — a good chance to catch some familiar faces or new musicians, too. Mostly, I just want everyone to support the place because they do a great job running a uniquely charming, albiet old, house/bar/pub.

Oh Grad Club, you sing to my soul. You know a place is quality when you get to hang up your jacket on a little hook by the bathroom and not worry about removing all your valuables from your pockets beforehand. First; hands down best live music in Kingston. V Clark always gets great artists to come throughout the year and I’ve yet to be disappointed. Be warned though, it tends to get hot pretty quickly so be fully prepared to sweat your brains out dancing if the music and vibe is right(which is usually is). Second: the beer the beer the beer! They always have a delicious microbrewery and local beers on tap and usually have a rotating variety so folks that come often or are feeling especially daring can sample some new drafts. Not to mention super friendly bartenders who put out water pitchers at especially sweaty concerts. Third; sweet potato fries. Fourth; they are always opening their doors for fundraisers and good causes fir everything from women’s shelters to crafting sessions. Even if there’s no scheduled live music for a certain weekend, there is bound to be something interesting going on at the grad club. I’d give the grad club 6 stars if I could. Oh how I love you.
