Pretty darned good. Clean and with friendly, genuine service which is kind of a deal breaker fro me with the old school type places. The server was kind enough to suggest certain donuts that she liked and patiently waited as we debated our choices longer than anyone ever should. We had a raspberry filler apple fritter and a rocky road. Both were a little experimental but nothing over the top. These donuts are many notches above a Tim Horton’s but maybe less gourmet than the name suggests. There was a bit of a mini-donut flavour, but that probably speaks to the freshness. Worth a stop of you are on 88 road, which for me is never.

After yet another disappointing trip to a popular doughnut shop that shall not be named(but the initials are T** H*****‘s), I came across this place. There were TWELVE different varieties of jelly and custard filled doughnuts in stock. Compare that to the other doughnut place where I found just one of the filled doughnuts in stock. I asked for a dozen(one of each filled variety so I could try them all) and paid $ 10 which I thought was a good price. The doughnuts were SOOO good. Every single flavour was delish. One or two didn’t have as much filling as I would have liked, but the others had plenty. I didn’t finish all twelve that day, and the ones I saved for the next morning were still fresh when I ate them. Last time I got doughnuts at the other doughnut place, the icing melted and the dough turned goopy within 12 hours. I will definitely be going back to Gourmet Doughnuts and Coffee again… and again! :)

From the outside this place doesn’t look like much and the seating inside is standard diner ambiance… without the diner. Selections are lots. It’s not about the pretty but about the selection. Prices are good, hours are good. I am more in favor of the cake based donuts, however, yeast ones are okay. Good customer service.

A girlfriend told me about this place and it is by far the best darn place for doughnuts I’ve ever been to! My husband is a doughnut fanatic and he now goes here 2 – 3 times a week. They sell out early but if you get there at the right time it’s totally worth it! Also the coffee is amazing. It’s a little hole in the wall that makes the most amazing pastries, you will not regret trying this place.

Stopped in here for doughnut day yesterday to pick up an assortment for the office while out doing errands. Had never been but will go back, the doughnuts were delicious, and they had interesting selections. I like that some of their filled doughnuts are dipped in plain sugar not powdered. The décor doesn’t matter to me, like it seems to matter to most. If the food is good and the service is good, and it’s clean, I’m happy. They didn’t quite get the full five stars because my sour cream glazed was missing most of the ‘glaze’ on one side. Could have been a fluke, but I like that kind a lot so I’m picky. Excellent doughnut otherwise! They didn’t last long at work!

Found this donut store on Unilocal.Nice cozy atmosphere. Priced are very reasonable. I brought 12 muffins and 24 mixed to a customer and they loved them. Recommend getting a few donut holes for the drive. Fresh made daily.

Great donuts, best in the area. Awesome service and the owners are very nice. Lots of seating and cheap prices. The sandwiches are great and they have a good breakfast special.

Tasty vietnamese sub, coffee, and a doughnut for $ 5.99. An extra 90 cents because the asian sub is a speciallty, but very worth it. Delicious! I’d give a 5 star but the décor and signage aren’t great. I’ll be back

I would have gave it 4 star cause the décor is so plain(to put it nicely) but the doughnuts are just that good.

Hmmm… don’t really think these doughnuts were as good as everyone else says they are. I finally tried this place as an alternative to Timmy’s. I was disappointed based on the other reviews. We took out a dozen and it was a really mixed bag. Some were ok but the majority were kinda greasy… and not the good kinda greasy like your fingers after KFC. It was the kinda greasy that makes you wonder when was the last time they changed the cooking oil. The selection was pretty impressive for a small shop but definitely not worth the high praise!

12 of the freshest, best doughnuts you’ve ever had for $ 8. It’s a steal. The variety is awesome, tons of yummy different flavours. And unlike Tim’s, they don’t taste all the same and stale! They are super delicious! I said before that New Amsterdam had the best apple fritters… no longer. Gourmet Doughnuts wins, hands down. And the counter staff are as sweet as the doughnuts too!

Rejoice Langley! Langley, your prayers have been answered. You now have an alternative to the frozen, then nuked cardboard of Tim Hortons! This little shop just opened up, and if you can believe it, actually make their own doughnuts on site. What a concept! I’ve been twice already and they have some interesting flavours to go with the olé standbys. The coffee is pretty good too. They have other café style items too, paninis and rolls(sausage, and spring, to name a couple) and various croissants. Very happy to see something in Walnut Grove not come out of a box in a freezer!
