This was a great stop on our wine tour. Patrick took us on a tour of the farm, let us taste some wine right out of the barrel and then shared some of his yummy jams. He’s very welcoming and informative. We agree that the Turkish Fig & Walnut wine is interesting and now we have it at our home(along with a few of the jams). Stop by.

This is a beautiful, quaint little winery literally minutes from the US border — it’s tucked into an area with several other wineries, so it makes a fun day trip(or part of a bigger adventure to Vancouver). We stopped in at Vista D’Oro last weekend for my hubby’s birthday, and were treated to some great tastes of their(ultra dry) cider and various wine varietals. The walnut fortified wine was my favorite(um, it was amazing)! They also have samples of their exotic preserves(with flavor combinations so interesting I can’t remember them right now). Their immaculate little shop features a variety of gourmet goods like cheese boards, glasses, etc. It’s also fun to wander the winery grounds — there are some great photo opportunities.

Adorable little winery with excellent customer service and very delicious wines. I went to three wine tastings in Langley in one day and this was by far my favourite. The wines were superior and so was the experience. The«venue»(the shop, the grounds, etc. etc.) were just amazing and adorable. If I have visitors from out of town I will take them here too — seems quintessentially new world for wines. The wine tasting itself was actually for 3 wines, a cider, a fortified plum wine and their«port»

The flagship D’Oro port fortified with green walnut infused brandy is absolutely amazing. Their Farmgate Shop and wine tasting room is within the same building. Here at the farm, they grow their own tomatoes and fruits. Of course, their Artisan Preserves are very popular. My favourite is their Turkish Fig with Walnut wine. Have it with cheese and wine, oh, it’s the perfect combination. So many other types I want to try! Citrus & Candied Ginger, Pink Grapefruit with Champagne, Orchard Pear & Vanilla!!! Wine tastings are complementary, and you can have up to three kinds of wine. Tried their Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noix(a fortified pinot with brandy), and of course, their signature D’Oro walnut port. On Saturdays, they also have fresh baked goods. Fresh Farmhouse cheeses(bought the La Pyramid-delicious!), and bread are also available. Le Beau Patisserie waffles, Vij’s curries are here too! They’re only open from Thursdays to Saturdays, from 10am-4pm. With so much deliciousness in store, how could I NOT come back?
