Garderie Educative Bilingue Face a Face is a bilingual daycare that offers a preschool program. We teach French and English as a second language. We have been established since 1995, offering an excellent educational program with a full curriculum of learning and fun. Teacher-​directed approach and child-​directed. A friendly and nurturing staff with years of experience in the early childhood field. Learning a second language is child’s play!

History

Established in 1995.

In 1995, we were known as Ecole Face a Face, offering only a half-​day bilingual program catered to 2 – 5 year olds. We used to have a bus service and were solely a preschool. The demand for full days became a need in Laval and the preschool became a private daycare in 2002 – 2003. Thus changing the name from Ecole Face a Face to Garderie Educative Bilingue Face a Face. The owner, Christina Strigas, runs and operates the daycare with 35 spots available.

She has a degree in English Literature from Concordia, a degree from Universite de Montréal in Teaching English as a Second Language to high school students and an AEC from Vanier College in the field of Early Childhood Education.

Seventeen solid years of teaching young minds in a bilingual environment.

Meet the Business Owner

Christina S.

Business Owner

Christina Strigas has a degree in Languages and Literature from Vanier College; a BA in English Literature from Concordia, a Permis d’enseignement from Universite de Montréal au secondaire; and an AEC from Vanier College.

She has run a summer camp in the city and has taught young children and adults second languages.

She is also the author of two books. Althia’s Awakening and Althia’s Calling. The third and final one is on the way… Althia’s Journey.

She loves to teach young minds and finds great pleasure in writing and reading.
