These guys are masters of their craft. The sandwiches are so good and so filling! The flavor experience is divine. The smoked turkey club and the mesquite philly are my favorite sandwiches but NOTHING beats out the loaded meat fries. They are SOAMAZING. Service can be a little slow but it’s worth the wait as the food they pump out is fresh and delicious.

Mesquite takes the places of the La Poutine, and I am very glad this sandwich shop has opened here. Yes you might notice there’s a Press’d next door, but Mesquite does smoked meat sandwiches, and it’s all smoked by hand… or what not. Basically you’re gonna get a different type of sandwich, a homemade one, than if you were to go to Press’d or Quiznos or Subway. This is a local place and it’s nice to support local. My mom had come here with some friends and said it was good, so I decided to stop in and grab something for lunch. They had a soup and sandwich deal going on. For $ 13.65 I got soup(which was a beef and corn smoky delicious soup, half a smoked ham sandwich, and a bottle of pop). The restaurant was a little busy, but not too bad. There are few tables and chairs insides, and free Shaw wifi, which is nice. As I was waiting I asked about some of the other menu items, like the redneck sushi, which is andouille sausage, wrapped in bacon and then porchetta(or maybe it’s the porchetta and then bacon) and then it’s smoked for several hours, cut into pieces(to look like sushi rolls) and warmed up before serving. Basically this is a very meat-friendly place. My order was ready in a few minutes. When I got home, at first glance, the sandwich looked a little small. Then I realized it was stuffed with several layers of ham, and the soup portion was pretty decent as well. You will not starve at this restaurant. In fact I don’t think I’d be able to order a full sandwich and fries or a salad. If I did I wouldn’t be able to eat it all in one sitting. The sandwich was really good, the ham had a slightly smoky flavour and there was a nice sweetness from the caramelized onions. The sandwich is on a sub type of bun, but it was good although a bit messy(definitely made use of the napkins they had sent). I thought the sign for the soup said it was a bisque, but I could have been mistaken because I was pretty exhausted from working when I went to Mesquite for my lunch. In any case the soup was delicious, smoky with lots of sweet corn and veggies and beef. I really enjoyed my meal here and I’ll definitely be back to try some of their other sandwiches… and maybe even some redneck sushi.

Went in and got the Smoked turkey with bacon to go. It was pretty spectacular. Good smoke flavour on the meat the bacon was great, and the sauce sublime. The bun was good, soft, which was great for eating although I’m usually a crunchy bun kind of guy. Had an order of fries. Obviously fresh cut. They were good, wished there were more in the box. Did not try the cajun. All in all a great spot for some smoked meat in Leduc. They make it to order so don’t be in a hurry. Think more Farrow than Subway. Will be coming back for sure.

Stopped in for the first time today with three friends. We picked up the Family Meal, which is 4 sandwiches, a family sized fries, and two family sized salads. Between the 4 of us we had the Andouille sausage sandwich, the turkey club, and two BLT sandwiches, the fries were cajun and the salads were the arugula Caesar and the pecan slaw. The sandwiches were tasty. I wish there would have been more bacon in the BLT, but the bacon that was in there was tasty and thick cut. The order(and the requested changes) were correct for everyone. The fries were fresh cut and spicy with the cajun spices, and had a nice little garlicy dip to go with it. Not too bad! The salads I wasn’t in love with(I don’t like slaw to begin with, and I wasn’t a fan of making the Caesar with arugula), but the rest liked them. It could very well just be me. Wouldn’t be the first time! It wasn’t the fastest process, but it was fresh, so we were willing to wait. They don’t just throw everything together, or have it pre-made. The place is set up with a counter to order at, and then a few small tables for 2 – 4 people. It’s not a large space, but they used it well. They updated the look from the previous restaurant and it looks a lot better. Solid little sandwich place. I’d do this again.
