Scotch. Scotch. Scotch. The drink menu is phenomenal and almost unrivaled in London. The food is great. — Service — Being seated in the back portion, service was less than most people would expect, but somehow the server still made time to do her best to come all the way around and check on the tables. — Food — Calamari for appetizers was great. Arrived on time. Hot. The dipping sauce was pretty good. Ordered a burger and fish and chips. Both were above average, arriving on time, properly cooked to order, and flavorful. — Overall — Would eat here again. The only downside is that it is not near downtown, so you have to already be in the Masonville area to even know about them.

Amazing meal and drinks for a great proce with our Groupon. Will definitely return. Our server was patient when I was indecisive. We got served quick. Their home brew was light and refreshing, good for washing down our dinner. The Louisville Hot Brown Sandwich was absolutely the best cheese sauce I’ve ever had. Their version of a taco soup was spicy and delicious. My partners burger was piled so high with brisket and onion rings we had to squish it several times to be able to take a bite.

Service is always great, great atmosphere, good variety on the menu. I tried the Crispy Deviled Eggs the last time I was here and they were surprisingly so amazing!

Well, wish i could say i tried it but been sitting here for 25 minutes with two friends and have not yet been greeted, however, have noticed the server visit the table next to ours several times. Beertown it is…

Definitely my favourite out of all the bars in the masonville area. Service is always prompt, and food is generally on par with a gastro-pub. It should be noted that their bar area is a tad small, and can fill up quickly. They have a good beer selection, though truly shine with their extensive list of scotches. Definitely worth a try if you haven’t been.

After a loooooooong day of conferences, we were ready for a chill, easy dinner out. This place hit the spot. Practical Henry’s(or as their sign says, Henry’s) serves up some solid Cajun/Creole cooking and boasts an impressive whiskey menu.(This preggo had to forgo the whiskey for a lemonade… sigh) We shared the calamari as an appetizer and I had the shrimp po boy with onion rings. My husband had some pulled pork deep dish pizza thing… not sure on its Cajun roots. Casual atmosphere, friendly service, decent food. Check it out next time you’re in Masonville. It’s a great alternative to Jack Astor’s.

First place I came to in the city of London and that was for lunch. This is a nice and clean bar and grill. They have about 12 beers on tap and a really nice size menu. I started out with a plate of wings and those were just ok, nothing special at all. For my meal I went with the bbq burger with brisket and folks I’m here to tell you that the burger is excellent and top of the line, a must if you come here. The fries that came with the meal was also really really good. Overall a nice place, now it does cost a little but not bad overall.

I went to Henry’s with family and ordered the grilled chicken flatbread(to share) and a side of poutine. The flatbread had a good balance of ingredients and was pretty good, but the chicken was a bit dry. The poutine was a large serving size and they didn’t cheap out on ingredients, but it got a bit salty by the end. Others at my table ordered burgers and their food looked pretty good and portions were very large. Service was OK. Atmosphere was OK — a bit loud but not bad.

I’d seen Practical Henry’s when driving in the Masonville area. The restaurant itself is huge. The dining room is large and there are lots of seating options. The food was phenomenal. The portion sizes were huge and delicious. Our appetizers were the pickle poppers and the pulled pork lettuce wraps. The pickle poppers were amazing. The pickle stayed crunchy even after deep frying. The cream cheese was also different. The pulled pork lettuce wraps were also fantastic. The coleslaw added a great crunch to the wraps. The sauce on the pulled pork was nice and sweet. The entrees. I had the chicken club and it was huge. The bacon was chunks as opposed to strips for optimal bacon coverage. The fries are awesome, I can’t wait to come back to try them as a poutine. My fiancé had the shrimp Po boy. The shrimp were huge and perfectly fried. The only disappointment was most of the cocktails were whiskey based(that’s their main focus) and I’m more of a vodka girl.

An interesting place, they go for the pub style atmosphere and for the most part it works. Some interesting décor, if I remember correctly there was a motorcycle on the wall. Was seated in the bar/high top area so I can’t comment on the dining room. Service was fine, the wait staff did a good job and the food was reasonably fast. I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich/burger. The chicken was good but there was a bit too much sauce on the sandwhich. The fries were okay maybe a little greasy but not bad. Overall a decent place to eat and I wouldn’t mind going back.

As a short person, I really hate high top tables. We were seated in the bar area with said tables because apparently the whole restaurant side was reserved for a birthday so strike one for this place. We came for a Saturday lunch and it seemed understaffed as our server kept disappearing and no one was manning the hostess area which had a family waiting a long time and a party of two left before being seated. Maybe too much attention to party, which didn’t seem to be happening until we left. Strike two. I ordered the chorizo scallop mac and cheese and it was a little too greasy on the bottom and the scallops had a metallic taste. Strike three. I think it would be better if it wasn’t taken to the table in the skillet it was prepared in, but that’s rustic flair for you. The appetizers we ordered, battered deviled eggs, pickle poppers and mushroom and brie skillet were pretty tasty. As was the brisket sandwich that my companions ordered and I got a bite to try. So hit and miss menu wise. I had higher expectations, so I feel this place is only A-OK as the 3 stars attest to.

We have been twice now and not likely to return. First time was after it had just opened and more recently with a bad taste each time. Oddly we have generally had good luck at Crossings. For some reason it seems to be a bad mix of a Montana’s and something we can’t quite discern. I guess we aren’t their target market and life goes on. It wasn’t awful food but it just wasn’t that good and the vibe just isn’t there.

Delicious! If you are ever having a bad day, come to Practical Henry’s and try their Fried Chicken! Wow… served on a bed of macaroni and cheese(which is incredible with onion and cheddar), and topped with pea sprouts. The serving was a little more than I could handle, but boy was it great food. Slightly confusing brand — roadside gas station décor, english pub… but I guess it works. I was there the first day they opened(without realizing it), and have been back half a dozen times. I’ll keep returning!

Delicious dishes. The po boy sandwich had a «wow» factor with the crunch. The crawfish dip was good. I had higher expectations for the chorizo and scallop Mac and cheese. I found that the chorizo sausages didn’t quite hit the spice and flavours I expected. The Cajun beef salad was good, but the pears in the salad was different and flavourful. The pecan pie dessert is our family favourite. If you’re looking for a down south style meal, this is an exciting and exquisite option. After our recent trip to New Orleans, it was wonderful to experience a similar cuisine closer to home. I do wish the Cajun and paprika was more distinct in some of the dishes we tried. Also, side note, wonderful list of whiskey options!

Never had a meal I didn’t love at Henry’s. Great food, service and atmosphere. I’ve been there 4 times in the last few months and have never been disappointed. The deep dish pizza is mouthwatering and definitely a shareable.

Went to Henry’s for the first time. The table we sat at felt like sitting on a veranda on the bayou which was great. They serve Cajun cuisine which is very delish and well prepared… and surprisingly SPICY! it was busy so we were waiting for a while before a server came, when they noticed they were very apologetic and offered us our starter on the house. The staff was very nice and professional about everything. One good thing about Henry’s is that the pub side is completely separate from the dining side, so you really don’t a have to eat in a noisy environment unless you want to. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a reasonably priced meal. I will definitely be going back!

Fantastic palce to fill your tank. This place has it all. Snacks, pub food and fine dinning all in one place. Always eat on the pub side but the dinning area looks nice too. Separates us from the civilized people. Been there several times, several different days and the place always has people. If you are looking for a good place to hang out try it!

Quite extraordinary for a recently-opened venue. Much nicer than anything else previously in this location. Based on one visit: — Great service; wait-staff are young and inexperienced yet well on their way: pleasant, helpful, gracious. — Greeted with an offer of «lamb soup»; it was more a stew, and so good I took a second helping home. Make it a regular dish and you’ll grow tired of me. — Unfortunately out of grits, but I was told it’d «be in soon». Sigh. — Absolutely fantastic pork belly sliders(but please, lose the hoisin — the sweetness of pork belly bears no competition). — Finally: over-proof Bourbon? Thanks. I had to have a nap… Three thumbs up.
