Men In Suits Moving Services

These guys are responsible for the WORST possible moving experience I’ve ever had.
I booked 3 weeks in advance giving full details of my current residence and where we were moving to. I was quoted $ 300 for 3 hours of work. Sounded like a very reasonable cost.
Moving day arrives and they begin to help. First, one of the movers says «This is not 3 hours of work… this is more like 5» Ok… I’m braced for the extra charges that are involved.
Then, as I am bringing my sons and dog to our new address to ensure they were not underfoot while the movers were working I get a call saying «You have bedbugs. We’re not moving you»
I had already paid them the $ 300 they take $ 100 of it for the small 15 minutes of assistance they already did and left my mattress and other furniture on the lawn.
I am, naturally, panicked and upset. None of us have ever had any bed bug bites… I can’t believe this. Its the 30^th, i have to return my keys tomorrow and my movers have abandoned me? AND I apparently have bedbugs?
Fortunately we’re saved by another moving company (Eric’s Moving! Lifesavers!!) last minute. I did call a Bedbug inspection company and had both my former residence and my new residence and belongings inspected for bedbugs.
Results? No bed bugs
At all
at either residence.
And we even had a follow up done after 3 weeks to be sure. Still no bedbugs.
So… if you want a reliable and trustworthy moving company, do NOT trust Men In Suits.
They may very well leave you hanging at the last minute
And rip you off too.
