Oh what a lovely place, 5 star studded restaurant with fantastic service and fabulous food. No wonder what pulled me to drive 250 km. I will surely surely recommend everyone visiting or passing Moncton to drop by and have a lovely meal. Except the biryani I feel everything is very tasty. They should work a little on their biryani rest all have crossed the level of perfection.

I’ve gone to Tajmahal for my birthday every year for at least the past three or four years. Every year it doesn’t fail to impress and keep me excited and hopeful for my next birthday. Truly a must-try in Moncton. I would recommend the Rogan josh and mango lassi(with naan of course).

Best place in town to get Indian. Usually always get the Malai Kofta, rice and garlic naan. I’ve been to various Indian restaurants around North America and I do have to say they probably make my favorite Malai Kofta. Most other places the dumplings are smaller and very soft(which maybe how it should be made, I don’t know) but I prefer how theirs are a more dense dumpling The sauce is very creamy and flavorful. The naan bread is typically very good but the last time I went it was very different than previous visits, I hope it’s not a permanent change. If your looking for Indian or a change from so many North American type restaurants go try this place.

Great customer service!!! Food came at a reasonable time frame and man, their portions aren’t fucking around. So much food!!! My friend who I went with can inhale food like no one’s business and he could hardly finish his dish. Wonderful!

Have to give a 4 … WTF you have to buy your rice? Anyway… The palak paneer was ok, cheese not as flavourful as I’ve had it but was a good meal. Worth the time if you are in the area.

Busy spot on the slightly abandoned main street in Moncton. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. The food was generous, very flavorful and authentic. If you hear a strange slapping sound coming from the kitchen it’s not the cooks punishing each other it is a fresh naan being formed for the Tandoor. We had the Chef’s special appetizer plate for $ 17 which was huge and could easily start the tastes-buds for 4. followed by the chana-masala and a chicken curry of spinach sauce and cinnamon(quite delicious) and the name escapes me with basmati rice and a fresh naan. The dining room is small well decored and clean as well the bathroom were very clean. We will definitely return.

Excellent food. Excellent service. If I had a complaint, it would be that the naan is not consistant.

We had samosas and pakoras to start followed by way too much food. Seriously, we had the rogan josh, chicken korma, basmati rice, naan, and puris. I don’t know what we were thinking. I was stuffed after the samosas and pakoras, all of which were delicious. I preferred the rogan josh to the korma. The korma was not the most memorable I’ve ever had. Also, give the puris a miss, they were a bit on the oily side. If they ever add chapatis to the menu, that’s what I’d have over rice or naan. No room for dessert this time. We plan to return though. Service was prompt and friendly. The men’s and women’s washrooms were clean.

Fantastic! I took my mother here for her belated birthday dinner. We got the dinner for two, which included an appetizer, one veg dish and one meat dish, naan, rice, dessert and coffee or tea. By the end, you have to roll us out of there. We were so full that we barely ate lunch the next day. The curry was beautifully balanced and seasoned. We had the Karahi Paneer and the coconut chicken curry. Both were lovely, with a nice kick of heat. The naan was fresh and plentiful. For dessert, I had the Gulab Jamun(oh my god) and mom had the mango kulfi. Both were fantastic. The only so-so point of the meal were the pakora appetizers. They were a bit dry. Other than that, wonderful! Will definitely be back next time I’m in Moncton.

Speedy, friendly service, even when full. Good vegetarian dishes, and the best Gulab Jamin I’ve ever had.

We had time on our journey today to have a relaxing lunch en route. I have no idea how Moncton is as a whole, but both this section of town and this restaurant reflect a charm I hope is prevalent throughout. They offer a variety of lunch choices. We both opted for the curry special, which is your choice of chicken or beef curry, plus a vegetable offering, plus a small salad, your choise of raita or kheer, and rice and naan. I think the menu said rice OR naan, but you get both — all for $ 9.99. The meal is served on a compartmentalized tray reminiscent of TV dinners. The naan was a whole piece quartered, toasty on the bottom and soft on top, perfect for sopping the sauce from the entrees. Both the curried chicken and the vegetable offering(chana) were deep in color and rich, and the chicken was tender. Definitely a worthwhile side-trip for lunch!

I live in Toronto, where there are a number of good Indian restaurants — we travel to Moncton regularly for work, and were surprised to find a delicious Indian restaurant in Moncton. I’ve tried the Korma, the Butter Chicken, the Tandoori, and various kinds of Roti/Naan. Me and my co-workers always make at least 1 visit here on our trips to Moncton. Our group usually includes a few people from India, who agree that the food is great.

We had chai(tea) and samosas. Samosa’s were bit blend and masala chai was bit under cooked. will go back as this is the only Indian restaurant in Moncton downtown.

Great place to eat — especially if you are looking for something different and unique in the Moncton area. I ate here 3 times so far over the past 2 years. Each time. the food was exceptional. I recommend the Korma! A bit tiny — so maybe call ahead for reservations on weekends.
