History

Established in 2007.

Bamboofit helps you improve your health and well-being by focusing on the state of your body because this has a direct impact in your emotional, cognitive, social, behavioral and physical conditions.

Here, we fully believe in preventive care. A combination of a balanced nutritional plan and an exercise routine will help you gain and maintain a healthy body and mind.

At the same time, we aim to make a positive impact in the local community by promoting nutrition and exercise, raising awareness of how to prevent different sickness, and helping NGOs to fundraise.

Business Owner

Laura Barreto

Laura started dancing since her childhood. During her teenage years, she kept performing and sharing her latin culture through dancing. In 2007, Laura took a big step and decided, along with Lina, to teach a fusion of dance and fitness and Zumba turned out to be exactly what she was looking for. Laura loves to be involved in the fitness and health industry. Her favorite dance style is flamenco, but she also loves rhythms with an african flavour.

Lina Barreto

Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Lina grew up with incredible entrepreneurial parents and a lovely family. Having the chance to perform on stage since childhood at school, Lina soon realized her big passions in life were business and dancing. During high school in London, Canada, Lina along with other friends founded the popular Tropical Flowers Dancing Group. They performed everywhere in the city, even in TV shows. When she moved to Montréal, she decided to share this passion for dancing through Zumba Fitness.
