Naramata Heritage Inn & Spa

Was here for lunch during a long weekend for a wine event. We walked in about 11:30 and were the first ones there. The waitress immediately acknowledged our presence and set about getting us seated and served in a very attentive manner. She apologized for the fact that she was still setting up but managed to serve us and 3 other tables as the lunch crowd grew.
The food and beverage selection was very local and extremely good, we had the charcuterie and a lemon avocado shrimp plate. The plates had a lot of local produce and the fruit was superb.
Even when the credit card machine didn’t work the waitress took the time to walk us up to the hotel desk to pay our bill, best efforts in every case.
I would heartily recommend this venue for any meal.

A few days ago we stayed three nights here for a wedding in Naramata. We had an early flight into Penticton so we arrived to the hotel prior to check in. Jillian was friendly and welcoming. She offered to hold our bags while we explore a couple wineries and provided us with a map. She told us about the few mountain bikes they have for guest use and we decided to go for it. While we chatted with her a house keeping staff member came down to say our room was ready. We walked into our room to find a nice, comfy bed with two bath robes, fresh flowers, an armoire (no closet) a large dresser and a door that opened out to the second floor terrace. In front of our window was a table and two chairs.
During our stay we took the bikes out several times, which was convenient. We enjoyed dinner in their restaurant downstairs. Their pasta is handmade each day. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in their dining room with quite the selection including an array of breads and spreads, fruit, salad, meats and cheese, yogurt, granola and toppings. Kayleigh made me my own decaf cup of coffee each morning. My husband and I both had massages at the spa. He had a deep tissue massage and said it was great (he’s tough critic). I had the relaxation massage and loved it. The locker rooms were nice and the women’s was stocked with an array of Aveda lotions, moisturizers, hair sprays and hair products. I asked if I could come back later to use the hair spray after curling my hair and the massage therapist let me take one up to my room.
We asked the front desk staff, which was usually Kayleigh, for buckets of ice, carafes of water, taxi rides, an iron etc. She and anyone else was so friendly and helpful that it really wowed us.
Originally we had booked our stay with a B&B because there were no hotels with available rooms then but they ended up selling their establishment a month later and transferred our stay to the Naramata Inn & Spa.
We were thoroughly happy with our stay and would love to come back again.

Soups excellent, a Mulligatawny (sp) and a Caribbean chicken, corn curry chicken both wow, huge slab of crusty baguette with each bowl
Chicken sandwich with potato salad, ordered. 2 for 2 people, shared one sand took one home for a snack. Big baguette with lots of fresh toppings!

We didn’t get a chance to stay the night but we did have dinner. The meal and ambiance was excellent! We plan on staying there soon!

Staying at the Naramata Inn was a wonderful experience. We came with five of us — two grandparents, two parents and a toddler — and shared the main floor Champagne ‘executive’ suite among all of us. The staff bent over backwards to help us out, particularly with our toddler’s needs, and added personal touch after personal touch to make our stay magnificent. We had some bumps at the beginning of our stay (turns out there was a live band playing in the courtyard outside our room — ended up being totally manageable), but the staff did everything they could to accommodate us. Truly outstanding experience — the heritage décor, the staff, the location, the food. I can’t say enough about the Inn — and particularly the warm, gracious and helpful staff.

It was truly tough to leave our little room tucked into the corner of the inn. From the moment we set our bags down, I felt spoiled. Little touches mean so much when you’re on a vacation and Naramata Heritage Inn had them in spades. When we arrived late on evening one, cozy bathrobes were awaiting, laid out on the bed with chocolates atop them. Partnered up with the complimentary lavender eye pillow, and a personalized note that wished me a happy birthday made it all the more special. Aveda amenities abounded, complimenting the Heirloom Spa in the underbelly of the inn. Side note — I had a fantastic massage here 4 – 5 years ago. The spa is really charming. Although, like most spas, charming comes with a bit of a price tag. You can expect to spend $ 100+ on body services here.
It’s a heritage building so it creaks, its walls are a bit thin and while it lacks ice machines like a hotel, the 24 hour staff are happy enough to find you a bucket and ice to enjoy all of those white wines this region is famous for. Grab wine glasses from the stocked hallway and open the top bureau drawer to find the corkscrew. To our pleasant surprise, the temperature was set perfectly, and automatically adjusted for day/​night, even when the heat blazed outside. But the real draw of an old building? The nooks and crannies on the inside, and the wrap around veranda and second floor patio on the outside. There are really darling places to curl up with a book or a glass of vino and pass the day.
The restaurant? Room rates include complimentary breakfasts which consists of homemade preserves, baked goods like poppyseed loafs and muffins, a large fruit salad, granolas and yogurts. Luckily, when we booked, the staff asked if we wanted to make a reservation for dinner at the restaurant. We hesitated… it’s not too often that a hotel restaurant is really fantastic (I might have a bit of an assumption that they tend to be pretentiously priced, but the food doesn’t measure up). But the Rock Oven Restaurant was truly a treat. Servers who know their wines inside and out – enough to be able to recommend one that would match both my Haida Gwaii halibut and Peter S’s Albertan bred steak (Van Western Vivacious, FYI), creative combinations of entrees and salads and herbs plucked straight from their garden. A seat on the patio is a must!
Parking around the perimeter is plentiful. Pro tip: find a shady spot for your ride. It gets sweltering in the desert. A couple of other notes to make for those thinking of sleeping over. 1. There’s no televisions in the rooms. 2. There’s free bikes to use on the nearby trails.
If you pick this inn for no other reasons, let it be these: The balconies on the upper level are large enough to lay out on. Pack a blanket with you (also good for the beach) and make use of it under the starlight to have a wine picnic, and then, allow the sound of the lake waves lapping up on the shore, and the haze of wine, to lull you to sleep under the shooting stars.

Came here for lunch during a wine tour and I was quite impressed with how cozy and warm this place looked. We had about 18 of us on the wine tour, and from what I heard the bread was absolutely amazing. I ordered the smoked duck fettuccine. The pasta was freshly made and the duck was perfectly smoked without being too salty. We had such a wonderful here and apparently everyone needs to try «The fizz» drink.

Excellent hotel. Beautiful location. Close to the best wineries of the south okanagan. Bike trails close by. Century hotel tastefully renovated.

Naramata Heritage Inn is a gorgeous old building with original claw foot tubs and fixtures & comfy beds. All of the rooms open up on to the second floor terrace with peekaboo views of the lake or the garden. There are no TVs to distract you from the quiet peace of Naramata.
These are the best accommodations in town (there are a few dated motels) & are a short walk to lake access, the only store, and the only pub. The inn has bikes for you to borrow to ride the Kettle Valley railroad trail and serves an excellent free breakfast of house-​made breads, local fruit, house-​made jams, cheese, yogurt, nuts and granola.
We’ve been here twice now, and it’s the perfect spot to celebrate an anniversary and explore the Naramata Bench wineries from.
The inn also features an Aveda products spa and a restaurant — the Cobblestone Wine Bar. The restaurant menu focuses on house-​made flat breads with a variety of accompaniments paired with local wines, they also have house-​made pastas (which fell flat on this visit), and your general Pacific Northwest style preparations of fish and meats.
