We showed up one minute after 9 pm! We rushed to get here and they were just locking up. They opened the door and did let us in which was very generous of them. The girl was a bit rude but its our fault for being late. We got two small blizzards as theres a deal buy one and get the second $.99! We got one chocolate xtreme blizzard and one cappucino skor. They did a good job in making them!

Same as most DQ’s everywhere else, 3 stars because I bought a dipped cone and as the poured the ice cream out of the machine a little tiny bit of melted ice cream squirted out onto the ice cream and for some reason they threw that ice cream in the garbage and restarted. They wasted perfectly good ice cream that I could of eaten lol

Came here with the guy I am dating for our annual pumpkin cheesecake blizzard when he lived in the area. Returned more recently to try their weird slushy thing with slush and soft serve. I split with my girl friend. Weird sweet experience but hey got to try it once. Customer service was nice.

They give out chicken strip the size of McDonald chicken nuggets and taste worse. Should have went to KFC as usual, big mistake.

This one is a winner simply b/c of it’s pickup window to avoid the lineups, though it’s been a few years since I’ve used it; usually i pop in thru the main entrance b/c there’s good bar seating at the front. One of the smaller DQ’s but this one is fast, quick service, & their employees take great pride when they make sure their famous DQ dipped cone has the right amount of twirls to it lol. Good selection of ice cream cakes in their freezer on the left. A few free parking spots in the back alley. Again, at night time, just be a bit cautious. Right across from the Royal Mall.

Stopped by quickly after quick trip of shopping at Safeway. Figured a few burgers would suffice for dinner. Unattentive staff. The manager looked to be having a power struggle with a front end employee but I think discussing task list duties in front of the paying public loudly at a place that is about to serve you the kind of food you’ll eat is a bit bleh. I really didn’t need to know indepth how to properly clean the ice cream machine, really. Got my burgers to go, and off I went to the bus stop to await my trip home. I was starved and the bus hadn’t arrived so I started eating. To my horror, the bun was moldy and I’m not talking about a tiny dot size either. It was as big as my pinky nail. Knowing my time was limited, I wrapped that back into its wrapper and dug into the second burger. Same deal. Moldy bun but this time I had bit into a portion of the mold too and chewed. I was hotter than their charbroiled grill at that point and marched back. The staff made me wait about 5 or so minutes before the manager decided to refund my money back. That’s it for their mistake? I didn’t feel the love from the apology either. There was a time when young folk got after school jobs at places like DQ and their energy made the place fun. Not at this locale. The gals who work here look like they got this job because they didn’t get the nice retail fashion job at Metrotown. Tsk. I won’t go back there for life.

I love my ice cream! It’s true. It’s also true that DQ Ice Cream is technically not really Ice Cream, but I’m a bit of a slut when it comes to Ice Cream. I like it, I’m not really picky about it, and I want it all the time. This DQ appears to be one of the old style buildings, which I like better than the newer Julius /DQ combinations. Unlike most DQs, this one offers good service from friendly staff, and reasonable lineups. Pricey, but that’s the price you pay for going to DQ. Not usually a fan of Dairy Queen because of their crappy service, but this is an exception.

Went here last night for a wonderful desert snack. This place used to be really shabby so it’s very nice to see what the renovations they did to the store have improved it’s look. The staff were very friendly and handled a pain in the butt situation very well. There was a lady in front of us that would have made the best of the best have a breakdown and the staff were so professional in handling it. The only down side to DQ are the prices. It’s not something I buy myself very often even in the summer.

A couple weeks ago I had an ice-cream cake decorated for an event. The employee who took my cake order was very professional and pleasant. She helped me through the process as I had never done this before, and the cake ended up looking great!(I picked it up a couple days later). The only improvement I can think of is an upgraded sample book for the decorations. I saw that some pre-made cakes in the freezer had little plastic figures on them, and it would have been nice to see what was available in the book along with the pictures. The sample book could have had more in it as well. I was happy with my experience here, and I will likely come back to this location in the future.

I can’t believe this DQ has not been review on Unilocal or Urbanspoon? The last time I went to this one I was a kid and Woodward’s had a grocery store across the street. I still remember the day I graduated from soft serve ice cream to a cheeseburger and realized Dairy Queen was more than just the ice cream shop. I went to school across the street from the one on King George Highway, Go Royals! and the first time I went to this one it was creepy and old. It has cleaned up a lot since then is more like a café or a bistro now but has all the same Hot Eats, and Cool Treats. For a tiny little shop you won’t be disappointed any time of the day if you have a fast food craving.
