We really enjoyed our breakfast at Dena’s. In fact, we went back the next morning. The food was fantastic, good sized portion, and a decent price. Coffee(which is delicious) or tea comes with your order. The owners are super friendly, greeting everyone. It’s a local joint, so tons of regulars frequent this place. If you have a rental car it’s worth the short drive out of the touristy area right by the Falls.

Dena’s Home Cookin’ is just that; simple, family run, food made from soul. We went for brunch and loved the French toast, pancakes, and omelette. The portions were generous, the staff friendly, and the place is definitely not touristy(a big plus for us). There are only a handful of tables, but the food(made to order) comes real fast. The owners are super friendly, and it was nice to see that it is family run(their young adult son was working behind the counter, the father in the kitchen and the mother, named Dena, runs the front of the house). If I could give the place one tip it would be to take vegetarian requests more seriously. When we ordered, we stated multiple times that my wife was a vegetarian and no-meat for her; yet when the French toast came out it was piled high with bacon. She sent it back, and we saw the staff member simply remove the bacon and bring it back out; we didn’t want to cause a fuss, so we said nothing, but my wife was not pleased that her French toast was served post being covered in bacon.

Dena’s for breakfast is an awesome place. The food is freshly made and the helpings are plentiful. The staff is super friendly. I’d definitely visit again when in Niagara Falls.
