The Keg Steakhouse & Bar

Same food quality as other Kegs have visited. Our party of 8 had dinner on Monday ⁶⁄₂₁. Had reservations which was good because restaurant quickly became crowded. Seated at window overlooking Horseshoe Falls — amazing view! Most of the party ordered steaks which all were cooked correctly and were tasty. Two ordered chicken and said was fine. Complimentary desserts were provided to two couples celebrating wedding anniversaries. Service was okay — could have been more attentive to drinks and refilling water. Overall would recommend.

Great views of Niagara falls, restroom on the same floor was getting remodeled, had to go to first floor to use restroom, not too convenient. I wanted the lobster, but it came out with lobster and steak, I didn’t send it back and ate it anyway since I was pretty hungry, but of course paid for it later with a $ 60 (US dollar) bill, most expensive meal I have purchased for myself lol! Other than that, food was decent, I don’t mind going back there again just for the view.

I was recommended to try this by Kent while in Niagara on a Saturday night with Comicon in town. We did not make reservations we just valet’d the car and went to the 9^th floor and got in line to the host. She told us it would be 20 minutes for a party of 2. It was 15 minutes and we got buzzed with the buzzer they give you to seated. Amazed, we took our seat and was in awe of how many people eats here!!! This place was packed.
I ordered the 10 ounce filet mignon and hubby ordered the 20 ounce bone in ribeye.
With an appetizer of shrimp cocktail.

The steaks were so tender and so thick. Everything was delicious, even the view!!!

We had reservations for 8pm. We checked in at 7 to ask for a window table and were seated by 7:30! The host was very nice and he checked in us later. We had Ryan as a server and he was fantastic! The table had a perfect view of the falls. 2 of the kids ordered from the kids menu and one ordered sirloin from the regular menu. All were cooked to perfection at medium rare. Bread was awesome! My husband and I had the blue cheese covered filet on our server Ryan’s recommendation and it was spot-​on! The bill was pricey, but the food and service was worth every penny! We were skeptical based on price and reviews… we were pleasantly surprised!

Went for a friend’s birthday last night and we were all very disappointed.
We had a table of 6 and made a reservation for 8:30pm, didn’t get seated until after 9pm.
I had an issue with ordering my meal because I don’t eat meat and didn’t want the bacon on my Brussels sprouts.
My friend has an allergy to black pepper and the kitchen was made aware but ended up plating the wrong steak with pepper all over it (luckily she noticed before she took a bite).
Another friends steak was way over cooked.
1 Meal was taken care of and they ended up giving us all free dessert which was wonderful… but it was a disappointing experience from the beginning to end.
And to top it all off the waitress told us that it wasn’t even a busy night… so then why did we wait for our reserved table for 30 minutes?

We came up to the falls for a night and had a few drinks and snacks at the Keg around dinner. We left my purse here and realized after a few hours. Around midnight we went back to check and they were closing but the employees especially McKenzie and Melissa (the manager) did everything they could to help us out and found it for us. They were super friendly, helpful and we definitely recommend this place xxx thank you so much

Lights-​sitting in an egg shaped booth, you cannot seem to enjoy the atmosphere with penetrating pot lights beaming down on your head in a sea of noisy chatter and crowded ambiance. This place is not for the faint of heart or Wallet; the prices are a good 15−20% higher than regular Kegs. The food is serviceable and the view of the falls is good– if you can see beyond the front row.

I always take my expectations down a notch in Niagara as I find everything costs more and the service is just okay when compared against similar places in Greater Toronto.
This location of the Keg had the usual inflated Niagara prices, but an incredible view of the Falls.
Not sure how you burn a baked potato…
All that said, we had a very large party tonight with lots of children with different special dietary requirements. They managed to split all our bills efficiently. And as a bonus, they don’t charge that sketchy tourist fee that is optional, but most places do charge in an almost hidden way.

The highlight for me at this location was definitely the view. Came here at around 10pm so the falls was lit up in pretty blue yellow and pink colours. Pretty nice spacious location with two levels good for big and small parties, bar on first floor. My friend and I both had the sirloin with a baked potato and the food was okay, but the view was definitely spectacular! Although the falls are not as up close as they advertise in the brochures it was overall definitely a pleasant and enjoyable experience. The waitress was friendly and attentive, and service was good as well. Overall I enjoyed my experience here and would come back

Mmmmmm… oh the view the view… Having a table overlooking the Horseshoe falls illuminated at night is certainly one of the most delightful and romantic way to celebrate a special occasion. Situated on the 9^th floor of the Embassy Suite Hotel, the vantage point is definitely a unique place to be. Luckily we arrived around Friday 10pm so we were seated right by the window overlooking the falls. Had we arrived 15 mins or 30 before I’m confident we would be seated in a non-​window table and that would pretty much ruin the whole experience. I was quite surprised the place was still busy until 10:30pm. The food itself was alright, my friend had a sirloin with baked potato and I had a sirloin with double baked potato. Both of our steaks were medium rare. Along with our entrée we had a glass or Peller Estates Carbernet and Merlot which went really well with the steaks. I never had the double baked potato which felt like a mix between mash potato and regular baked potato. The bacon bit in the potato really made a different in adding in the extra flavour. The steak itself was less impressive but given that fact it’s such a busy place and in such a touristy area it’s pretty much a given. Luckily we had a voucher which made the price paid more justifiable. My friend’s steak was good until the last bit where it looked more medium than medium rare. My sirloin steak was medium rare for the most part but some part was leaning toward rare. All in all I enjoyed my experience and would definitely avoid the busy time to get the window spot if we were to come back again.
Tip: The sourdough bread was tasty. Maybe because we had a later dinner but it was definitely tasty.

It’s April and the weather has been beautiful but the day we decide to take in the sights in the falls it snows!!! We did have a $ 30 off from Embassy but really wanted to try margaritaville, so instead of venturing out in the crappy weather we chose to eat here.
To our surprise, this place had a great view for a while until the snow came but for me fell short on the price we paid for the ambiance of the loud people and sticky menu. That’s why rating is 3 star.
We chose to start with french onion soup. Because we are in Canada this soup base was a little different than made in the US. But it wasn’t a bad thing. Because they specialize as a steak house the soup was beef stock based instead of broth. They also used 3 different cheeses. This is probably one of the best french onion soups i ever had.
Now for the entrees, I chose my usual steak-​the filet. It came with choice of potato and seasonal veggie. The steak was served with bernaise sauce and was wrapped in bacon. It wasn’t cooked perfectly medium well. More well done than my liking. I chose twice baked potato with bacon. It was alright just over cooked a bit. Green beans were good.
My husband ordered bacon wrapped chicken. He chose garlic mashed potatoes. Chicken was cooked to perfection and potatoes were very good. It also came with pureed asparagus. That was delicious and different way to serve this vegetable.
We asked for a dessert menu, but nothing stood out like we had to have. Normal brownie, cheesecake, crème brûlée, and ice cream. We chose to skip it.
Next time we will choose margaritaville.

I have never really had any issues with this restaurant. Atmosphere and experience is always good. Great food (The Keg) so you can’t go wrong. I would recommend everyone to try this spot as its pretty cool to be on the 7^th floor of the Embassy and have a great meal.
Enough said, I have not had a problem ever here.

The view from this place is so pretty!!! We stayed at the Embassy Suites so we got a $ 30 coupon. My boyfriend and I don’t eat red meat, but we wanted to check it out! We ordered calamari which was really good and he had a soup and I had a salad. The food was really good. I had the Keg caesar and loved it. A couple sat down next to us and ordered and our server offered them bread, she never did that for us. I’m guessing it’s because we didn’t order a ton of food, but neither did they. The only thing I would say I didn’t like was our servers service. Just because we didn’t order $ 100 of food we got treated a little poorly. Our waters weren’t filled until we asked (twice) and again, we were never offered free bread, which isn’t a huge deal, we could just tell there was a change in service. The other table would probably be a bigger tip. We did tip her 20% because that’s just what we do. Over all the food was good, just not our server.

I’d definitely recommend this place for a romantic dinner, thankfully they do not have a dress code.
Make sure to order the french fries as a side !

I love The Keg because it’s consistent. If ever you’re in a fix and need a guaranteed good steak then The Keg is it
This venue is rather loud but the service is wonderful, food is great and the overall experience is so worth it.
A meal costs roughly the same as TGI and is very much worth it.

I got a chance to take a trip back in 2014 with some friends to Niagara Falls. We were looking for an alternative to the revolving dining room in the Skylon Tower. After reading some reviews, we decided on The Keg Steakhouse. We were actually very surprised at this location. A great view of the falls, as we were almost right next to them. I actually preferred this view over the one we eventually saw at the Skylon Tower.
Service was fantastic and the food was done to perfection. The prices were just right as well, as much as I’d expect for a Steakhouse. They had a huge wine selection on their menu, which really made the entire night that much better for us all! If I ever get back to Niagara Falls, this place is on my list of places to go again!

Lies! They do NOT have window views «up close» to the Niagara Falls. One of the workers admitted the commercials and advertisements of the restaurant were photoshopped to make it look like the waterfalls are right next to the restaurant. In reality, the falls are quite far to where you can only kinda see them lit up at night. See my pics.
The food was meh. The calamari was alright, but I will say the white sauce they make for the calamari was awesome sauce! The 6 oz. top sirloin was alright, but nothing to brag about.

Good services but food was nothing outstanding
(Well maybe I should’ve tried the steak but I didn’t have the appetite)
So I ordered the black cod, which was of good quality but tasteless.
The dessert was better
But probably not returning

Late night Sunday: hoping for a quick snack and drink in the bar area. Sat ourselves down and waited about 5 minutes before anyone came by. Servers were too busy chatting amongst themselves.
When the server eventually came by, he did his best to make up for his lack of attentiveness.
If you are expecting a bar menu, you are out of luck. Garlic bread $ 7. Everything else over $ 10. Burger $ 17.
Fish and chips over $ 30.
Billy Miner pie: like a mud pie. Average. Enough for 2.

Almoçamos neste restaurante, filé mignon um com batata recheada. Carne estava excelente, macio e temperada, as batatas fritas finas e crocante e a batata recheada deliciosa. Foi servido pãozinho de entrada, que estava quente e muito bom e pedimos um café espanhol, que meu marido adorou. O ambiente é muito bonito, sentamos em uma mesa com vista para as cataratas, super recomendo este restaurante!

Worst prime rib, steak, and lobster I ever had!!! Chef who worked on September 5^th at 6pm should be fired.
Meat tasted very poor quality and flavor was missing. Wife had peppercorn New York strip and there was not one single grill mark which is a major sign that the grill was not Hot enough when the steak was thrown on. Also, no seasoning and meat was tough.
I had prime rib and it was even more tough and not tender at all. It also had a foul taste like it was not fresh.
