West of Java Coffee House

The girls who work here are the sweetest gals ever. I don’t go very often but when I do they are very kind and seem to remember me.
Last time I went they were out of mango for the smoothies. So I tried the four berry smoothie. Yum! Today when I went I ordered it again. When I was about to leave she told me she was ordering mango and would have it for next time. And asked me how I liked the four berry smoothie. I thought it was so great that she remember me for ordering the mango one.
Thanks ladies for the great food/​smoothies and service. You guys rock!

This place is a great little coffee shop. It brews” bean around the worlds” beans better then «Bean around the world»! It could use more to eat in my opinion but the coffee is very nice.

Best coffee shop in lower lonsdale. They always remember what you drink, and are very happy and kind. Great place to sit outside and people watch on a nice day.

Quite possibly the cutest neighbourhood coffee shop ever. It’s tiny — just a sliver of a space next door to a bike store, but they have the high ceilings and use those walls to maximum advantage to show paintings and drawings by local artists. There are a a few counter seats inside, plus a couple tables outside. In the summer, people with cute dogs and well-​ridden bikes simply flock here, because it’s been in Lower Lonsdale forever, and they’re known for great coffee.
Anyway, I had the chance to stop in again the other day … and the server was really friendly, plus she was nice enough to let me borrow an outlet to charge my dead cell phone. (They also have free Wi-​fi.) I also liked that in addition to a nice selection of newspapers, they also have current copies of gossip mags to peruse. (It’s okay to read them if you don’t actually buy them, says I.) I was very behind in my Jennifer Aniston-​related news, you see.
They don’t have much in the way of food, unfortunately, but what they do have is nice and fresh.
