Have been eyeing their chicken pot pie for a while now and finally bought one. At 7.50 a pie it was worth the gamble. Well, damn it was good! I ate it for breakfast too. The pastry was delicious and so was the filling. Not too salty. It truly tasted homemade. I was quite impressed. Simple but delicious. I bought the uncooked one that was frozen and I think that made a difference vs. the cooked one. Baked it for a little bit over an hour and then used the broiler to crisp up the pastry on top. Looking forward to trying their quiches.

Brought home a couple quiches a couple months ago because they were on sale and Homemade Quiche!!! how could anyone resist? So I happened to be in the neighborhood again and a friend who lives nearby suggests their apple pie. And since I love baked goods I picked up some pumpkin muffins and cheese bagels as well the(last) apple pie. The taste is pretty darn close to how I bake– not too sweet, not too salty, simple items of muffins, breads, pies and cookies. No dazzly sugar induced icing or spinkles. I only wish all neighborhoods in Vancouver had a modest local owned bakery like this that offers non-boutique, traditional, fresh, in house baked goods.

Just an okay bakery. Nothing special, they don’t have anything that’s a real stand out. Kind of boring, and the staff tends to be rude. There are definitely better bakerys around.

Delicious pies! Scones and butter tarts are also delightful. A lovely little bakery that’s worth the trip!

I wish I lived close by, the quality of the baking is fantastic. I had an Apple Pie and some Sausage Rolls which were great. The pie had soft apple filling not oversweetened, with a crispy pastry top. The sausage rolls were soft and delicious, with no lumpy grissly bits that you find in cheap sausage rolls.

Best bagel ever! Even though I live in Surrey, I don’t mind driving there only for their bagel. As far as I tried so far, their cookies and sweets are just good. But their breads are amazing!

Pies– Come to this place for the fresh baked sweet pies and the frozen savory pies to bake at home. I love their strawberry pies. My kids love their pizza bagels and their meat pies: I often stock up on their frozen chicken and beef pies along with their sheperd’s pie when I feel too lazy to cook. Theiy also carry frozen sausage rolls which I bake at home. My kids also love the raison bread and the banana loaf. This place is great when you want to stock up on snacks or easy lunches for the kids and also for us adults. but esp those of us who like a simple home made quality PIE !!

Hot cross buns, Hot cross buns, one ha’ penny, two ha’ penny, hot cross buns. They have the nummiest hot cross buns here. but only near Easter sadly. But never fear, their other buns are oh so fluffy and delicious. They also have pretty good cheesy bagels and a great selection of no-frills, satisfying breads and pies. And to top it off, prices are so dang reasonable, and service is great. Be aware that the baked goods go quickly so come early during the day to get the best selection.

I love Westlynn Bakery. They have great pie specials, like right now you can buy pumpkin pies for $ 3.95 each. At that price, it’s more expensive to bake your own. They also sell bread, buns, and cookies. Check out their freezer in the back for pizza, quiche, and pie dough.
