I have been going to this place for nearly a year and would never go anywhere else. I love the girls they’re all really talented, it’s always clean, and the prices are phenomenal considering the quality of work. Sally runs the place like a well-oiled machine and she is fantastic at doing nails too! I even moved 20 km away and STILL come uptown to get my nails done because I don’t trust any other place!

The workmanship here is subpar but ok — so if you’re in a bind, I would go. Otherwise avoid it! The employees have no sense of customer service! On one occasion, they asked me to come back in 20 minutes which I did… Then when I returned they told me they were closed and that everyone had went home who could help me. That was a waste of time! Make the travel down to Davisville and visit Davisville nails! That’s my plan!

I have gone here twice, today’s visit left a very bad taste in my mouth. The guy who did my nails was barely paying attention to what he was doing. He sped through the whole thing. He went straight from putting oil on my legs to doing the base coat, when I asked for a hot towel to wipe the oil off of my legs(I have an oil sensitivity), he turned around the dirty towel he used to clean my nails to wipe off my legs. Through out this experience I saw every other person get a hot towel. I am not sure why he thought I deserved sub par service, being the only person of colour in the room made me wonder. The area I LIVEIN is diverse and I was hoping to make this my nail spot as I live a few minutes away. The math on that is two pedicures a month over the course of 12 months = $ 600 of regular business without tip or tax. Needless to say I will be taking my business elsewhere. The worse moment was when I brought it up as I was paying, the girl takes my money looks at him and says«Oh, he forgot!» How does one forget if asked directly for part of the service I am paying for? People who run businesses like this seem to think that this is acceptable. It is not. I am a paying customer and there is absolutely no reason to treat anyone differently. You choose the price of your service not me, its an agreement we make when I decide to frequent your business. Today you did not stand by that agreement and I will not be returning and no one reading this should either. Go somewhere where they provide at least the minimum if not more in terms of customer service and the SERVICETHATYOUPAYFOR. Zero stars.

I’m so upset by my experience here. If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The only reason I came here was because its a few steps away from my condo and I was desperate; after reading the The reviews on Unilocal I must admit I was majorly hesitant to even try this place, and once I did I knew exactly what the other reviewers were talking about… The girl who did my pedicure was 100% angry that she was doing it, whipping my legs around as if I was a crash test dummy and grunting under her breath. When I showed her the color I wanted, she rudely told me I didn’t want that color and then recommended something completely different that I wasn’t interested in, and when I told her I wanted to stick with my original color she got even more upset! To boot, she was also talking to her coworker in their language(not sure if it was Chinese or Vietnamese) the entire time I was there, obviously discussing my choice of color since she pointed it out to her colleague half way through my polish application. I will literally never go back to this place. Totally disgusted by the service and attitude.

I don’t understand how there is only one woman who knows how to do gel/acrylic refills working at a time. seriously annoying

I feel so bad because my girl was very sweet and maybe it is just the product they used but my nails turned out horrible. I got a gel manicure in French and I told them very thin on the white tip and it was thick like stripper nails. The technicians never have perfect English but mine was really really hard to understand and communicate with. The gel was also bubbling when I left. I thought OK I paid 70 $ with tip and they did a bad job I just wont go back. Two days later 4 of my nails had broken! I was furious had worked so hard to grow my nails. I went back they insisted all they could do was fix the broken nails even when I explained that I didn’t have time to come back when the other ones break. Finally I talked them into removing the gel as it was clearly the culprit, for free. There was never an offer of getting my money back or partially back or even giving me a manicure after it was removed. The girl was nice enough and took it off my nails but had to leave a thin layer and cut my nails down to stubs. MY nails LOOKHORRIBLEFORTHEHOLIDAYSNOW. Also the salon was FILTHY I would NEVEREVER get any kind of wax there. For such steep prices people deserve a cleaner salon, better techs and better customer service EDIT: It has been 2 months and my nails are still a mess, constantly chipping and snagging thin as paper still. I think this permanently damaged my nails but fingers crossed its just that the WHOLE nail needs to grow out
