Worst massage of a lifetime and I am comparing with over 100 other massages! The ”masseur” Lynn, has no clue on how to give a massages, tickling, abundantly oiling you with what smells like pork chops oil, absolutely awful… got out of there much worst then when I came in. Just couldn’t wait for the massage to be over. Doesn’t Groupon make a check before featuring places?

I went there for a deep tissue massage only to find out that this place has no real masseurs. I gave Sophia, my «massage therapist» the benefit of doubt and agreed to give it a shot. Prior to starting my massage I asked for the time(she said it was 420PM, when in fact it was actually 435PM). anyway I let it go. 5 minutes into the«massage», I realized she’s only rubbing oil on me. Upon asking her to put more pressure, she scratched me. Obviously I got up and asked for my money back, and she got very mad. Would never recommend this place to anyone. I dont even know why Groupon has chosen to feature them.

I visited this location because it was close to my workplace, and was a decent price. The hairdresser I had was Lyn, and she did… mediocre jobs each of the three times I’ve gone here. However she constantly made me uncomfortable, asking me personal questions like most hairdressers do, however she would critisize my lifestyle, and tell me that I should be doing better. I tried to ignore her each time, however she would bring it up each and every visit. Another issue I had was that she would always say I should get an eyebrow wax and an acne facial, which I found to be rude, If youre going to ask someone something sensitive like that, you dont just bring it up blatantly. It was on my third visit that I had to stop going here for haircuts. She asked me the usual questions, telling me I pay too much rent, and that I should move back home, telling me I should quit my job and go back to school, etc. When she asked me to move into her spare room for 500 $/month. This I found inappropriate considering we did not have a friendly or trusting relationship. I will never recommend or go here ever again.

I also bought a groupon for this place only after confirming with them on the phone on 2 different occasions that they had a registered RMT on site so I could get a receipt for insurance purposes. I also want to point out that the 1st time I called, I thought my appt. was at 2pm but when I called back a 2nd time to confirm, she said it was 3:30 pm. Thank goodness I called the day of my appt. to confirm a 3rd time(to be on the safe side since the lady on the phone who made the original appt. seemed sketchy). Today, a separate lady confirmed the appt. was at 3 pm and that she wasn’t totally sure if the RMT on site had re-registered this year and couldn’t confirm if I could get a receipt, so I just cancelled. But they totally seem sketchy and clearly have no idea how to run a business. It’s frustrating that they ruined my plans for the day but so glad I was able to cancel and hopefully get my money back from Groupon!

I bought a massage from groupon here. By far, the most unprofessional massage I have ever received. The guy had NO idea what he was doing at all and the massage bordered on completely inappropriate. NEVER. AGAIN. This place should be shut down.

Two colleagues of mine share a birthday month. So we decided after work to surprise the ladies with mani-pedis! I called around to a few places, looking for a spa as opposed to a nail factory(hoping for a more intimate experience). I called La Viva on a whim, it was close to work, making it an easy after work destination and they seemed to have no problem accommodating our group. We walked in to an empty salon with two over eager aesthetician ready to serve. Since we came in two vehicles, we decided to wait for the other car and start all at once(they took 7 minutes max.). One of the birthday girls had already received a pedicure two days before and was only interested in the manicure. When we explained the situation to the staff, there didn’t seem to be much compromise in our services and felt pressured to receive the services we had scheduled. Once we figured out how we were going to organize ourselves, we began our treatments. Unlike what I was expecting, they did not have a nail station like you would expect at most salons. So to receive our treatments we were brought into multiple rooms, completely negating the ‘group experience’ that I specified I was looking for on the phone. When it came to the services… mine was nice, the aesthetician was pleasant. However, the pedicure was nothing special, I have received better or similar services for cheaper at other salons. When my treatment was completed the aesthetician left and the rest of the services were left up to one person. Our services weren’t even completed!!! This was not only confusing and frustrating, but rather upsetting as I was trying to make this a great experience and it was turning out to be a gong show. Realizing that completing the services was going to take us at least another hour(we had already been there for 1.5 hours) we opted to pay for the completed services and cancel the remaining ones. The aesthetician thanked us repeatedly for leaving, remarking how she never stays this late; it was 6 o’clock! All the girls commented upon leaving that they have never been thanked for leaving an establishment before. If you don’t want our service, I guarantee I know four ladies who will never step foot in your salon again! I would not recommend this salon to anyone, ever! They did not have the facilities to accommodate our group, did not have adequate staff to perform the services, and we felt bullied for the duration of our stay. It was not a relaxing environment at all! If you choose to go to this establishment, consider yourself warned!
