Nice One Nails

The quality of service has declined since I first started going there. The last time I went, I got a really lousy manicure. It just felt rushed and not cared for. I’m going to be more selective about nail salons in the future and not just rely on the ones close to me.

I was here 3 weeks ago getting my nails done as it was a last minute decision and the usual place I go to was fully booked. I specifically asked (both before and during the appointment) to confirm that they do Bio Sculpture Gel nails and they said yes, but they said they only had the clear gel (other places would have colored gel).
The moment the technician took out the white plastic extensions, I sensed something was not right. Those are used for acrylic nails. After gluing on the extension tips, she started scraping my nails as if I was getting acrylic nails. That should not happen. I tried to confirm that I was indeed getting the Bio Sculpture Gel, and she said yes. When she applied the first layer of gel, I saw «Bio Sculpture Gel» on the bottle. But for subsequent layers, she used a different bottle that had no marking on it. Also, it took a lot longer than 60 seconds to cure the gel under UV light (if it was real Bio Sculpture Gel, it would only take 60 seconds per layer). The material on the nails felt very hard and not flexible (it doesn’t move with the nail). As time goes by, I saw separation between the top layer and bottom layer.
During the appointment, she didn’t take care of my cuticles, and there was no hand massage.
Today, when I went back to the usual place to re-​do my nails (where they use actual Bio Sculpture Gel, UV light, remover, etc.). Instead of 5 minutes, it took 45 minutes just to get the gel off the nails. The real thing should just peel off.
I am very concerned that I was being lied to. The price I paid for was for Bio Sculpture Gel. I am pregnant and want to be very careful about what I use on my nails. I have no idea what they put on my nails. Some of the UV gels are being banned by Health Canada for health reasons. I’m scared that they put harmful gel on my nails (to cut costs).
For those who want to avoid harmful chemicals or want to get Bio Sculpture Gel nails, this is NOT the place to do it.

I have a good experience here. They were able to take me straight away as a walk in, and the girl who did my nails was nice and did a good job. Prices are reasonable. I got a shellac polish change. I was happy and I will be back. :)

I love Kathy so much I was hooked on shellac for awhile, but tbh I got a finger nail infection 3 times ! I’m not sure if it’s because of hang nails or just bad skin but 3 different occasions (only 2 from here! I left and within 1 day I had a blood blister or puss in the corner of my finger
My finger also bled leaving here once because a piece of skin was ripped off thinking it was dead skin during the manicure part but it was not. She was very sorry but still :/​I kept going back because I love her but I think in such a busy place like nice one nails maybe cleaning lacks which saddens me

I’m surprised at the review that had experienced bad customer service. I’ve been coming here for a couple of years and always received great service. I get the bio gel nails, never had a problem with them, and I do gardening without gloves.

Horrible! If you enjoy being snapped at, having less than average quality and no customer service THIS is the place for you. I spent $ 67 (and add another $ 10 for tip) on a bio gel manicure only to have 1 nail break within 3 days. The majority of my nails were not filled correctly and when I attempted to explain (and complain) the woman told me ‘i remember you’ but was unable to find me in her book. By the time she located me (confirming I indeed had an appointment 3 days earlier) a long line up developed behind me. She then told me she could not fit me in for at least 30 minutes (even though for the last 10 minutes 2 manicurists sat empty).
In short this location of NON is more than happy to take your money and give terrible customer service. If you are a newbie (in reference to having acrylic manicures) I recommend avoiding this place. I endured such frustration I got extremely angry. Not the person I want to be!
