My dear friend, who is vegan, recently visited this restaurant. Since I am curious about all things that are yummy, I planned to cut through Peterborough from Ottawa a few weeks ago. This restaurant is in the heart of downtown Peterborough. The area has a university feel, which makes perfect sense. I fit in nicely! I was asked to sit anywhere I wanted. The restaurant is cozy and inviting. Staff are friendly and accommodating. There is a lot on the menu that looks so good I had initially wanted the sloppy Joe sandwich, but changed my mind when I saw the toasted pecan, mushroom, and lentil burger. It was huge! I had to cut it in half to have it fit in my mouth. So good! It comes with kettle potato chips and a pickle. Since I had a few hours to go driving back home to Markham, I went with an island smoothie. It was good and fragrant. I love all drinks with coconut milk in it. You pay an extra 25 cents for the plastic cup and lid. I did manage to squeeze in a chocolate coconut macaroon in. That was also delicious. I’d come back when I am in the area. The food is fresh and yummy. Street parking is available. It’s affordable, as it should be in a university town!

Great restaurant in downtown Peterborough. We were home visiting family this past week and stopped in twice. Saw great reviews on TripAdvisor and thought we’d check it out. I think they were the only Vegan restaurant listed in the Peterborough area. Good service. Cute place. The people were nice and friendly. The food was AMAZING! We had two different bowls. One with Tahini dressing and one with a Peanut Thai dressing. I can’t remember the names of either dish. We also had the Pad Thai with Zucchini noodles. So good! The Chana Masala was great too. They sell an interesting brand of kombucha that we really liked too. Maybe a local company? So easy to give this place five stars. Go check it out! Even if you’re not a Vegan I dare you to not be impressed with the food. They don’t take credit cards so make sure you bring cash or your debit card with you and definitely cash if you are from out of town. My U.S. debit card wouldn’t work in their machine.
