Solid Indian place for the area, it’s the nicest one out there for date material wise. Quite loungy if anything, and an amazing curved bar right at the front, a place to be seen if you’ve got heels ;) Not your typical Indian décor, but indeed authentic. Prices are to be expected. The butter chicken’s good, but wouldn’t say in my top 5. Came here a few months ago, but recall during the meeting with the owner that’s it’s going to shut down and re-open under a different name. Good service, lots of parking in the lot as there’s a handful of other businesses here.

Very delicious food here and we came during lunch. They’re special can’t be beat! Three of us filled up for extremely cheap. They had a problem with the debit machines so I had to run to the bank for cash… but they VERY generously had piping hot Chai tea waiting for us when we got back. We will definitely be back :)

After reading the reviews we were very excited. We got a whole bunch of takeout to try. Sorry to say we were fairly disappointed. Nothing really tasted outstanding. The meats wrre all dried out, and clearly cheap cuts. The dishes that are traditionally profoundly flavourful, lacked the seasoning and depth that you would get elsewhere. More salt than usual too. Lamb vindaloo is a dish I always love, but I was sincerely let down by the serving — just a few bits of meat, some dried out and some blubbery with fat. So far we stick with our usual Poco spot when we want Indian in this area. Hopefully we will find a place closer to Port Moody that we will want to return to.

This place got shut down on the 6th of March for the following violations: — Food is not obtained from an approved source [FPR s. 11] — Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not properly washed and sanitized [FPR s. 17(2)] — Food premises is not maintained in sanitary condition [FPR s. 17(1)] Now I feel all disgusted that I ate there. The food was kind of okay tasting, I guess, but I’m pretty damn lucky I didn’t get food poisoning.

I have been to this restaurant twice now, and both times it was delicious. The food was quick to come out and the staff were very nice and helpful. I also did enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant even though we were practically the only ones in there.

Overall great dining experience. Truly authentic Indian food, and great service. The appetizer sampler was fabulous and a great deal for only $ 10. For our entrees we got butter chicken(creamy and delicious!) and the prawn vindaloo(a little spicy and also delicious). The naan was fresh, warm and light; perfect for sopping up the great sauces. We will definitely be returning for another meal!

Tried for first time last night. We had been to the afghan place a few times that predated masala junction opening here. Layout is the same. Was pleasantly surprised there was no Indian knick knacks and paintings of Bollywood and Ganesh everywhere. Butter chicken and vindaloo were great. Medium heat was just right. Portion sizes not as large as Bombay in poco but the prices were less. Naan was heavier than I’ve had before but it was fresh and held up to the meal that I was devouring with it. Chicken pakora are my new favourite Can never go wrong with samosas and veggie pakora. All three on a combined appetizer for two! Our new go to on the way home! Well done.

My wife and I have recently enjoyed a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The apetizers, main course, and desert were first class.

Downright awesome. Real flavor of India. Been twice and very happy to recommend. Butter Chicken and all Lamb dishes were bang on good Garlic Naan and nice service.

Food took a while to come. Place is a little hot inside. Food was above average, but the lamb kebab was too dry for me. Tandoori chicken was very good, as was the Marsala prawn. Appetizers were also satisfying. As for coming back, I would say unlikely, as prices were also above average.

So happy to report it is really really good. Service outstanding(and I’m picky). We ordered the appetizer platter(2 types of pykora and samosas) butter chicken and paneer jalfrazie with a side of basmati and naan. Everything hot and fresh and tasty. We ordered medium and it was accurate — mine got hotter as I went but never uncomfortable. What was most impressive with the butter chicken was the amount of chicken and all breast — often not the case in other places. With two beer and a glass of wine our bill was $ 55 and we were in and out an hour. They’ve only been open five weeks after having to close last time due to losing both their chefs. According to the lovely manager, they waited until they got one they were happy with and it showed. We will go again and you should too and report what you had! So happy that we have a great indian choice in PM.

Absolutely amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Masala Junction. Their butter chicken is to die for and soo much better than the other Indian restaurant in Port Moody. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, and quick service! I usually always get my food to go and am never waiting more than 15 minutes! If you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly highly recommend it.

The service was fast and friendly and the décor is relaxed and comfortable. We love Indian food so we were keen to try out this new restaurant. Had the mixed platter of starters which includes pakoras and samosas to begin with and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty on the one platter for two or three people. For our entrees we had the chicken vindaloo and the prawn biriyani. These are particular favourites of ours and we were not disappointed. Very tasty and the flavours were wonderful. We had the mixed platter of breads which is a great way to sample all of these wonderful treats. We shall be back and intend to make this a regular haunt. Loved it!

My brother raved about this place because he’s been there three times before and loved it. We went on June 11th for my mother’s birthday and we did not have the same experience. The food was awesome but the service was awful. They did not have a bartender so we couldn’t order drinks. There were eight of us and we only got three bowls of rice. We asked for more but it never arrived. We ordered dessert and waited forever to get it. And then when we went to pay the bill, their credit card machine wasn’t working. What? Yep, we had to scramble to get our dollars together. There was another table who were also clearly unhappy. As info, only four tables were filled. I really hope they get their act together because their food is terrific!

This is a relatively new restaurant in Port Moody and today was our first visit. It has an extensive menu with lots of signature North Indian dishes. Among the three dishes we ordered(Lamb Rogan Josh, Vegetable Coconut Curry, and Butter Chicken), the Lamb Rogan Josh is hot and of very genuine Indian flavour. All of us loved the vegetable coconut curry as well but am not too sure this is an Indian dish — for me, more of Thai cuisine :). The butter chicken is mediocre as I’ve had better ones from some other restaurants. Overall the quality of the food is high and the services were warm and timely. My daughter enjoyed the mango lassi so much that she went to the bar to ask for the recipe. We will try out the recipe at home. All mains are priced between CAD12−14 each. I think this is very reasonable. Baltic rice is complimentary. We also received a plate of pepper crackers with two dips for free. My daughter would like to try out some other dishes so we are going back to Masala Junction next week.
