Came here with a friend with the Social Shopper deal for a 10 course meal, sounds awesome but wasn’t that great! One course was just 2 nigiri sushi and another was just 2 tiny California rolls and 2BC rolls. The service was decent but they forgot to give us the lobster miso soup after the salad and we had to tell them about it. The best course was probably the lobster but even then, it was kind of tough and seemed to be overcooked. Overall, it feels like too much meat and the quality was not there! I would not recommend the social shopper deal for this but maybe you can have more luck trying the dim sum here. Go to this restaurant at your own discretion, you have been warned!

Big liar. The coupon said the amount was for 2 people but the actual amount is only for barely one person. The geese liver size is only one-dollar coin size, 2 pieces. One meat skewer only contains 2 pieces, ridiculous! The taste is terrible, worst experience in all restaurant I have ever been in Vancouver area. My wife told me, comment it on-line. Will never go there anymore!

Purchased two six course dinners through Groupon. Looking forward to the teppanyaki experience. Should have clued in when their policy specified you must make a reservation and you must mention the Groupon when making the reservation and then you must present the Groupon upon arrival at the restaurant. They had a «special» set menu just for the Groupon. The only item in the entire dinner that was teppan grilled were the four shrimp. And that was done on the QT at the grill(where we were not allowed to sit). Everything else was standard fare for a mediocre Japanese restaurant.(A cup of rice, stir-fried cabbage with a couple threads of carrot for colour, and deep-fried chicken bites.) Surprised to see that one of the courses of the«six course» meal was a glass of juice. Would never pay the $ 15 for that meal(cost after the Groupon discount) let alone the $ 30 the restaurant said they normally charged per meal. Pretty amazing how the reviews posted just as the Groupon was being offered were all super positive about the restaurant and every review since then has been thumbs down!

I went with 3 other friends only because we got the SocialShopper coupon:10-Course Japanese Teppanyaki Meal for 4 People $ 109(valued at $ 302.54). ATMOSPHERE: Our party didn’t get seated at the grill which was fine because the room got super smoky at one point. *cough, cough, cough* This restaurant is not well-ventilated for a teppanyaki restaurant. And the chefs didn’t really put on a «show» anyway so we weren’t missing much. FOOD: The quality of food wasn’t worth the coupon price so I’m not sure who’s paying the full price. The salmon steaks were right off the grill but still cold in the middle. The lobster was rubbery. The blueberry panna cotta was flavourless. The portions were small so we were still hungry afterwards and had to grab bubble tea across the street. The photos on their website is not representative of the food. SERVICE: Not sure what the confusion was because we ordered the dinner for 4 and there was 4 people seated at our table, but they kept bring servings for 2 people. We had to keep reminding the waitstaff that we had the meal for 4 people. This meant that we had to wait till they cooked the other two portions before we could all eat together. Their only saving grace was that they consistently refilled our tea. SUMMARY: If you want a fun teppanyaki experience, save your money and go somewhere else.

Was on the way to Canada for for a family vacation and stopped by here for Dim Sum. It was one of the places with the best dim sum! All the dishes are bigger than what I’ve seen back in the US. And the food came out really fast! We ordered a little bit of everything since we were so hungry! Definitely worth going here when you have the chance to! — It gets 4 stars because it gets a while for you to get the waitresses/waiter’s attention.

Only if you think the show is more important than the food, food was fine, cooking was fun; we got the $ 45 groupon for 2 that according to the Resturant it suppose to worth $ 88 if order from the menu but after dinner we were quite disappointed perhaps we expected lot more from«$ 88». Seems like we did get a dinner that worths $ 45 not $ 88. I would not return cause it is too expensive for me.

When we checked in with the hostess we were referred to us not by name but by «groupon».When we we lead to the table they did not let us sit at the teppanyaki table since they said we were«groupon» they said those tables were reserved for non groupon people and that they had a reservation coming at 6:30. But as I was asking them what sort of teppanyaki experience was it going to be if we can’t sit at the table and watch the show some other customers that where sitting at the teppanyaki overheard us and told us that they were leaving so we could have their spot. The hostess was hesitant but was finally agreed with it. We sat down and the food started to come. The portion was so small it was less than bite size I think they split one order into four. Even the girls were not full by any means. We took a look at the menu and can only calculate what they have given us about less than $ 80 of food. We’re suppose to have the 8 course meal but after $ 200(119 from groupon and 63 from drinks and taxes) no one was slightly full. We ended up going to Tim Horton after. Also throughout the whole dinner no was sitting at the teppanyaki table next to us where they did not let us sit because we were groupon. DONOTGOTOTHISRESTURANT

Came here last week with some friends. We had a little bit of everything: salad, miso soup, jumbo prawns(yummmm), sirloin steak, angus ribeye usuyaki(so good, my favourite part of the meal), beef udon(which I did not eat due to my gluten thing, but my friends reported was excellent), and a refreshing blueberry panna cotta for dessert. We had three sauces to go with our meal, and our chef was great about pointing out which sauce to eat with which course. Staff was excellent: our chef was entertaining without being super over the top like many teppanyaki chefs, and our water and tea were constantly refilled by extremely attentive servers.

I love teppanyaki since it’s like dinner and a show rolled into one, where you get to eat the main attraction. The red leather seats and flaming grills certainly added to the slightly theatric ambiance, too, which somehow made the food taste more exciting. My favourite thing was the sirloin roll filled with crunchy toasted garlic. The garlic itself was a little over-roasted maybe, because it was slightly bitter, but the beef was tender and cooked just right, resulting in a juicy crunchy meaty bite. The grilled veggies were fresh and seasonal, and thankfully did not include bean sprouts as filler… I hate bean sprouts. People at the table next to ours had lobster tail, which I’m going to have to try next time.

Went to this location to catch up with friends and try something different. Ambiance was very nice and the restaurant is very clean. We sat at the center grill and we were lucky enough to have the head chef serve us that night. Had grilled prawns, garlic steak, yaki udon, and beef rolls with grilled veggies. I love garlic and they made sure to add lots of that. Overall, the food was tasty and the service was speedy. Very modest staff that don’t say very much but are very accommodating. We had some folks that had dietary restrictions and were able to serve equally delicious dishes for them.
