Shake Shake Tea

I love the owner of this place. I stumbled across it while looking for a quiet place (with wifi) to work while I was in the area. The store wasn’t even open yet– they were setting up for their launch in a couple of weeks– but they invited me in anyway, made me green tea (free) and let me work for hours. I came back today for the first time since they opened and had a cold passionfruit green tea and then a hot tea while I worked. Once again, the service was exceptional and the tea was great, too!

Came by for some bubble tea. Looks like my friends and I lucked out — the place had literally just opened that morning.
Parking is available in the strip mall parking lot. Unfortunately it can be a bit of a war zone. Best to come at night, after the rest of the mall closes.
As the place is brand spanking new, the menu is not fully available. I chatted with the owners and gave them a few tips on everything, including ambient lighting, and future menu items. Very friendly couple.
One of the funnier things is that they have «horny» hot drinks. We couldn’t figure out what they were trying to say, as the Chinese characters definitely did not say that. The owners promised to update the boards.
The bubble teas here are of decent quality. My biggest disappointment is that they use powders and some syrup, instead of syrup, with real fruit. 3 stars instead of 4. I would gladly pay a dollar more if there was real fruit in these things.
I’ll be back in a few weeks after they iron out the kinks.
