Mmm, stopped by here randomly on Christmas Day. Yes! They were open on Christmas! The decorative festive cakes caught my attention, so my sisters and I decided to check the place out. As all of the baked goods, pastries, and cakes were laid out nicely, it was hard to not pile on the sweet treats onto my tray.: | So many different types of pastries, both savoury and sweet kinds! Yum, my favourite was the pineapple taro bun. The outside was delicious! The top of the bun had a cool criss-cross design and was just sweet enough. Kind of reminded me of crème brûlée’s texture. A little crunch of burnt sugar on the top and soft doughy bread on the bottom that just melted in your mouth. The inside was filled w a taro like mash, went well w the pineapple bun itself since it balanced out my tastebuds of making it not overly sweet. Also, if you buy more than 6 items, tax is deducted for the total! Btw, there are no tables if you’d like to sit and catch up w a friend. Fresh pastries, clean/organized, provided good customer service and the treats were enjoyable.
