I love small plates style menus when they’re done right — and Red Rabbit definitely does it right. Their menu is divided into«Carnivore», «Omnivore», and«Herbivore» plates, making it easy to select items based on your dietary preferences or balance your order with both meat and veggie dishes, if you so please. I ordered the fried polenta and duck eggs, which was a hearty portion and absolutely delicious albeit a bit unexpectedly spicy from the chermoula. I also had the BBQ celery root — one of the most unique takes on a vegetable dish I’ve ever had! I definitely plan on coming back here again — soon.

The food here is simply amazing. Everything is very innovative, fresh and new. Chicken waffles in particular are phenomenal. Definitely buy the ketchup — they should bottle the stuff and sell it! Definitely call ahead — they are very punctual and reservations are required. Take a try — this is hands down the best restaurant in Stratford.

Had brunch there on Sunday. We ordered a burger and chicken and Waffles. The burger was not very tastey and so was the chicken and waffles. They said they had maple syrup on it so i thought it would have a sweet touch to it, but it didn’t. I have personally had much better Chicken and Waffles in Toronto Downtown. The service was not bad, but the food was a disappointment considering the good reviews for this place. Their dessert menu is quite small as well so we didn’t order anything from the dessert.

We stopped in last minute while traveling through Stratford and had heard about this eatery. Our expectations going on were high and they were more than satisfied. Price fixe 2 or 3 course dinner is not cheap but not out of line. The quality and the creativity is there and the flavour profiles do not let you down. Seafood and greens and red meat were all more than satisfactory and we saw nothing on the menu we would not try. Decent selection of libations and the overall character and vibe are spot on. Would drive back to Stratford just to eat here.

We had an extraordinary lunch at The Red Rabbit. Truly some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. I had fried grits with duck eggs and seasonal vegetables, and every bite was exquisite. We all got housemade sodas that were delicious. My teens, reluctant to try yet another foodie destination, thought the sous vide burgers were the best food ever created by mankind. The Red Rabbit was as good and better than any of the restaurants I’ve experienced in the renaissance of Detroit dining, and would be a great place to eat were it in New York, Chicago, or Minneapolis.

Amazing food, drinks and service! The servers are very experienced and knowledgeable. The menu selection is fabulous; it’s so hard to choose! The Hanger Steak is melt in your mouth delicious, as is the Butter Lettuce! Definitely recommended. We can’t wait to go back!

Tried to have lunch there today. Checked Unilocal and it said it was open. When we arrived at 2:28, the door was open, tables available, but we were rudely told kitchen was closing at 2:30 and we should leave. Must be nice for a new business to be so successful, they can turn away customers. If you want to go, best to call ahead and avoid the chance you will be greeted as chillingly as we were.

Good for foodies. Nice casual atmosphere. Nice beer and cocktail menu. The service was competent and not overly pandering. I ordered a Manhattan, which was well mixed. The prices are a little high, but it is Stratford in summer and high quality food. Prie fixe 2 course dinner is $ 43. Plus if you are American, the exchange rate is favorable :) The butter lettuce salad was excellent – dressed perfectly with a mustard vinaigrette. The beef brisket was perfectly cooked, very tender. Nice corn bread. Wonderful slaw. The hoppin john was well liked and the duck confit was excellent. We shared a pretty sticky toffee pudding($ 6). Overall, a great addition to the Stratford scene.

After a long weekend, we decided to try The Red Rabbit on a Sunday morning. The food was fantastic. We tried the M Burger, Hangover Curve Poutine, and the Chicken and Waffles. Everyone was extremely satisfied with how great the food tasted. The only issue we had was the portion for the Chicken and Waffles(although very delicious) is extremely small.

The best burger I have ever put in my mouth! If you come to Stratford, check out this little gem. Order the«M» Burger, with a Black Swan IPA(also local) and experience food love at its finest! I can’t say enough about this place.

Our party of 7 loved everything, but most of all I’m thrilled that the BESTVEGGIEBURGERINTHEWORLD didn’t die when Mercer Hall’s former owners left; instead it went with them to The Red Rabbit and even got better with some tweaking of its original recipe. It is pure soy-mushroom amazingness, and again all 7 of us loved our food(fresh, creative, tasty) but the vegetarians were the winners last night!

An absolutely amazing restaurant and pub. Delicious craft beers, and unique and tasty menu with a wide variety for all folks. The waiter was helpful, never felt rushed or underserved. Also, what seems to be the owner has one of the most glorious mustaches I’ve ever laid eyes upon. Definitely a place to go when in Stratford!
