Active Learning specializes in personalized tutoring lessons for students in Grades 1 – 12. We have qualified tutors who support student learning in ALL subjects. For example, chemistry 11 – 12, writing grade 6, phonics grades 1 – 3, Pre-​calculus math 10 – 12, english 1 – 12 and many more!

History

Established in 2008.

Active Learning has been supporting the needs of their students for the past 5 years. Their 3 steps to success program has lead them to successfully assisting over 600 students with their educational needs.

Step 1 Skills assessment. This identifies the student’s current academic level and determines where the student needs to be. This will pinpoint the student’s strengths and where they need help. This test is done FREE of charge! We don’t believe in charging to understand your child’s current learning level.

Step 2 Personalized program. Once the areas needing improvement are identified, an individualized program is customized for the student.

Step 3 Progress reports. Active Learning is a strong believer in staying connected with each student’s school teachers to track the student’s progress.

Avneet Gill-​Dhaliwal has taught in the public school system and also runs an online high school– Beyond DL School. She is passionate about providing all students with the learning support they need. Avneet recognizes the challenges classroom teachers face with massive class sizes and class composition and has taken it upon herself to build an effective team to work with individual students to ensure academic success.
