Love this place. It’s just like the one on kingsway in Vancouver. You get a viet sub for $ 5. And it’s always delicious.

I love this place. Every since I was young I grew up eating a lot of different vietnam’s sub. i love their taste and how they taste like the ones I had when I was younger at this one place (can’t remember the name of the story).# 3 and # 5 is my favorite.

This was the place where I had my first Vietnamese sub, years and years ago! I’m glad to see that they are still here, still serving up their sandwiches and desserts. It’s in a food court and there are no signs outside for this place, which is why it can be easy to miss. The sandwiches are very affordable, at $ 3.75 for the #5 special, which is the one with all the delicious cold cuts. They’re very generous with their fillings as well. I like that they still use pâté as some places don’t have it now. Another thing I always order from this place is their deep fried coconut sticky rice, with crunchy caramel dribbled over top. These are ready-​made, and as long as they’re fresh, are a delicious sweet end to the meal. I have had some later in the day when they’re not as fresh and it tasted oilier than it should :(But I haven’t been able to find this dessert in any other Vietnamese restaurant, so that’s why I prefer this Ba Le to others. All in all, Ba Le is a great little stop if you are craving cheap, delicious Vietnamese subs!

We decided to go to T&T to do some shopping, and decided to stop by Ba Le for some banh mi. I decided to get the popular #5, which comes with pork and pâté. The bread tastes freshly made, and all of the ingredients work well together. I would definitely get the jalapenos added to the sandwich for an extra kick. For only 3.75 including tax, this freshly made sandwich beats Subway any day.
